*An online statement confirmed Tuesday that Season 3 “Sunday Best’ winner Le’Andria Johnson is pregnant.
Viewers suspected that the slight bulge in her clothing during a recent appearance on BET’s “Celebration of Gospel” was a baby bump and rumors began to swirl.
Johnson, 29 is a single mother of three.
In the statement (that follows in its entirety) the mommy-to-be acknowledges she needs prayerful support while carrying baby number four and managing the demands of a new career and motherhood:
“In recent weeks, there have been numerous published reports stating that I am pregnant. I would like to take this time to confirm that I am pregnant and due in September. I have been feeling well and maintaining a healthy appetite. I have been busy traveling around the country with my music ministry. One can only imagine that as a mother and mother-to-be, my plate is quite full—taking the kids to school, doing homework, cooking—regular mother duties. I have been blessed to have the love and support of my church, family, friends, label, management, and fans. I have received so many beautiful and thoughtful notes and prayers from people all over the country. I ask that you continue to pray for me and my family. I cannot do this alone. I will continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection over my life. I love you all very much and I will be in touch soon.” – Le’Andria Johnson
Johnson shows no signs of slowing down with dates already booked in May. Since signing with Music World Gospel she has kept a whirlwind calendar, ambitiously releasing 3 projects in less than 6 months. She continues to stun audiences with the soulful delivery of the single “Jesus,” a ballad from her debut album, “The Awakening of Leandria Johnson” that is directed at judgmental Christians. (Johnson won the “Best Gospel Performance” Grammy for “Jesus” in February.)
The majority of fans who posted comments on www.leadriajohnson.com reacted to her pregnancy positively. Many of the messages were congratulatory, but one fan lamented the news, pointing out fornication is a sin:
“Honestly Le’Andria I am disappointed. To deny that I am not would be a gross lie. I look up to you and the anointing that exudes from you, I really do. Fornication is a serious sin and it is not one to be jumped over lightly or ignored. “
In an interview originally conducted in September of 2011, I spoke to Johnson about love and relationships. She was very transparent about having two failed marriages and the ups and downs of relationships.

At the time Johnson said she was dating but this time around things were different because she let God do the choosing.
A source close to Johnson says the father of the child is a musician who has been the man in her life for 18 months. Marriage is in Johnson’s plans a source says.

So what!!! she is not a preacher, she is a singer, and singers are NEVER acknowledged in the Word of God(that’s new testament breaking news!!). The saints getting upset over grey fog.. These gospel artist are in it strictly for the fame, glory and money $$$$$$. “HOW CAN WE HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER,” (NOT SINGER). Jesus NOR HIS disciples never sung OR sold books. So why hold her to such healthy biblical practices and principles??

I worked at a secular radio station that turned gospel and have met some of the nastiest so called gospel artist ever. i mean titles like prince of praise, queen of gospel and father of gospel shows ego. to me even to be called gospel artist takes away from the purity of ministry, David wrote psalms and was called a psalmist, if he were here today writing would be called an artist i.e one who performs…. certainty not! Holiness is what is required.. Godly sorrow brings true repentance hopefully she repents and gives God the praise

I agree. Some of your so-called “anointed” favorite Christian contemporary/Inspirational artists have some of the ugliest spirits and messiest lives. They are not ministering the gospel in song. They are just making money.
Father in the name of Jesus bless this single mother. Bless her to acknowledge you as the King of kings and the Lord of lords in her life. Give her a mind to serve and worship you in the true spirit of holiness. Bless her health and keep her body and mind strong as she cares for her children daily. Bless her career Lord. Give her a new song, a song of praise and worship that you might be glorified in her life and in the lives of those who listen to it. Bless her to be a loving, faithful, caring mother to her children. Lord help her to raise those children in the church so that they can know you. Give her a mind to take them to church and teach right from wrong instilling in them a love fot the written Word of God. Teach her Lord from this point on to be that virtuous woman you want her to be. Amen

I was a fan of Leandria until recently. Unfortunately, I’d forgotten to unsubscribe to TeamLeandria’s YouTube page. This morning I received an email of her ministering My Worship Is For Real (how ironic this choice of song) and it’s quite evident that she is BIG as we say in the woods! This is a disgrace, what message are you sending to young women and men. Is it okay to have sex before marriage? Is it okay to have a baby out of wedlock? Leandria is not only singing, she is preaching. I’m left to ask what else is Leandria doing besides what she has openly confirmed. Character is not what you do when people are looking, it’s what you do when no one’s looking! The Word speaks of this time when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers. I’m so tired of people taking the word of God and the crucifixion of Christ and turning them into mockery. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? I’m disappointed in BET, World Music, LeandriaTeam, her leaders, her parents and her. No one has told her to sit back and not let this sin be glorified to the World. Is this the standard? It’s wrong and I’m greatly grieved for Jesus, the sinners and the body because we are sending a mixed message here – a message of confusion. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ. Yes, we must love and forgive not only Leandria, but ourselves and our brethren who often fall. However, we must not uphold sin. Let’s pray for and openly rebuke all in public and private view that represent God because our future, the future of the church and the future of our children depend on it. Sit down prosperity preachers, teachers and singers so that your followers can see Jesus instead of you.

No sin is different just because you sin differently than she do doest not make yours better your statement shows you are no better than she is the first thing you should have done was pray for her not gossip or judge the only person she has to answer to is God Ihow do you know her life andd that she didn’t repent you don’t know the situation I had a cousin you had just received the holy ghost and that same week found out she was pregnant we all fall short of the glory so we have to continue to pray and love one another because I doubt God would be happy with people judgement

He without sin cast the first stone. No one can judge this woman. The BLOOD God’s BLOOD covers a multitude of sins. No one sin is greater than another. This woman has an anointing on her life and God has his hand mightily on her life. Not one person up here can act as though they are perfect in the sight of God, no man is perfect. Don’t be so religious and righteous that you cause yourself to turn down your nose at this woman of God. She is one of God’s children that he is using mightily to spread his word and his love throughout the world. You all should be ashamed of yourself.
It’s simple. Before you judge someone, check to be sure you’re perfect! He who is without sin, cast the first stone! GOD loves her in spite of her shortcomings just like all of us. She is still using her GOD-given talent and spiritual gift of song through ministry to serve HIS people. Focus on what she is doing to build GOD’s Kingdom and pray for her & her family (instead of thinking any of us have the authority to judge). Better yet, focus on what purpose YOU are supposed to be serving to build up the Kingdom! Celebrities, ministers, pastors, or any leader are all normal people who just so happened to be given a platform in the public eye. That does not mean you expect them to be picture-perfect people. We ALL fall short. If we are to be true Christians, that means to act in the likeness of the Redeemer aka Jesus NOT the Accuser aka Satan.

We all are sinners. No one in this world is perfect. We make good decisions as well as bad. Who am I to not except a person because of their own choices.
If you are a woman or man of god than you already know he wants us to love one another. Her pregnancy is a blessing. At the end of the day Le’Andria got to do what Le’andria got to do and keep it moving.
