He said it was something that really changed his life and put him in a place he had no desire to be in.
“Life is crazy. I [wound] up paying more money to baby mommas than what some of my rap brothers and sistren make,” Nas explained. “I’ve always been away from too much limelight. No one’s exempt from people probing into your life once you get into the game. So it put a lot of my business out there, man. It was like, people weren’t thinking I was making that kind of money, and now they knew.”
He even shared some relationship advice, telling fans and readers to hold on to love and fight through the pain. But most importantly, be honest.
As far as his promoter Patrick Allocco, who was kidnapped in Angola with his son, they have their differences.
The rapper said his Allocco felt pressure while in Africa so then threw him under the bus.
“He wanted me to come to Africa for New Year’s. Which to me I thought would be the best way to spend New Year’s,” Nas explained, attempting to relieve himself from blame. “You booked the flight, but no return flight. I didn’t have a visa. You didn’t send money ’til after I was supposed to jump on the plane to another country.”
Allocco was eventually released for those of you not up on the details of that story.
