Verna Deann McClain, 30, is charged with capital murder after confessing to the murder of Kayla Golden, 28, and abducting her three day old baby, Keegan in a suburb of Houston, Texas.
*The black community will remain a target for racists as long as stupid acts of senseless crimes are committed against whites by members of the black community.

WOW!!! I heard this early this morning and I did not know the assailant was a black woman. Onviously, she had psychological problems to do such a heinous crime. Pray for both families!!
I’m still trying to figure out how on earth was she going to pass off a white baby to her fiancee? That is so crazy…maybe the fiancee was white is all I could think of…being black and the victime being white, in Harris County at that, the death penalty is a sure thing. She shot the lady several times and then ran over her…Bizarre!
Since this happened in Texa, Sis, “gwine” be dead before the year is out. Mind you, she had 3 other children. The terror the young mother went through gives me the shivers and sadly, if it wasn’t victim Kayla Golden, it would’ve been any other parent. . . . . . . . . . Stephanie, I too would have bet the ranch that “Verna” was white. More often than not, you can’t tell, Black and whte folk have the same “kuntry” names.
This woman is obviously deranged for committing a crime of this sort ANYwhere … but IN TEXAS?! Nightshift is correct. Verna is a dead woman walking.
Death penalty aside, though, Texas is a barbaric society, even though they pretend gentility. I have been living here for three years and cannot WAIT to move back to New York City in August.

She’s being charged with capital murder so it’s over for her. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if the dead woman’s husband is somehow involved because there’s no way the shooter could have passed that infant off as her own.

Agree with all the comments. I can’t wrap my mind around why this woman committed such a heinous crime. I, too, was shocked that it was a black woman. How did she plan on passing off this white child unless her fiance was white? And even that is risky because from the pics I saw, the baby looks like he has reddish hair. Just a very sad and strange case.
