Shonda Rhimes Adopts Another Little Girl

*Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey’s Anatomy, confirmed that she adopted a little girl in February through a domestic adoption.

She brought home Emerson Pearl to join her big sister Harper.

Friends and others found the news a surprise.

“I’ve been writing adoption into story lines on my shows and only a few people close to me knew about my plans,” says Rhimes, who adopted daughter Harper in 2002. “I think the response was ‘oh my goodness’ from a lot of people.”

Rhimes new kid is totally outfitted in the hottest designs of course.

The new family was spotted out and about with some on-the-go essentials, including a Tribe diaper bag.

“Emerson is incredibly mellow,” proud mama Rhimes told US Weekly. “We’re just doing a lot of bonding right now. This is a happy time — I feel so lucky.”
