‘Sweetie Pie’ Return Marks More Good News for OWN

   

*OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network premiered its Saturday prime time line-up on March 31 with the return of the popular original series “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” (9-10 p.m. ET/PT), posting the highest rating for the series among women 25-54 and earning 512,000 in total viewers.

That’s up 133% versus the fall premiere on Oct. 15, 2011 and posting double digit growth versus the series average (up 23% W25-54).

Immediately following “Sweetie Pie’s,” the network debuted the new original series “Beverly’s Full House” (10-11 p.m. ET/PT) which posted a network high in the time period with 388,000 total viewers (up 83% W25-54 versus year ago numbers and up 45% in total viewers.

In addition, the two series were the highest rated original series of the night in their respective time periods for African American women 25-54.

    So how is that working for ya Oprah? looks like the Black shows maybe saving your skin huh? Got any more Black shows that may bring your network out of the dumps?

      Is everything about skin color to you? I hope you can’t have children. When Oprah did her talk show the black community was upset because she didn’t have enough blacks on her show. The black community did the same with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, with accusations that they abandoned the black community. Well both Whit and Michael Jackson changed their style of music to accomodate the black community and their music sales plummetted. So what’s it going to be REDBONE?

  2. I think the “good shows” for her network come on too late. Something needs to be put in the 8:00pm slot.
