*A slimmed down Chaka Khan – in a catsuit – took the stage at last night’s “American Idol” finale to sing with the six female finalists, while Fantasia – also in a catsuit – joined “Mantasia” to bring the house down with an Elton John classic, and eventual runner up Jessica Sanchez got a chance to get her “ugly face” on with Jennifer Holliday.

The top 6 girls– Sanchez, Elise Testone, Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Shannon Magrane and Erika Van Pelt–performed a medley of hits from Chaka Khan and were later joined by the diva herself for “I’m Every Woman.”
Khan, celebrating a recent 60 pound weight loss, wore a body-hugging one piece that showed it off. Watch the performance below.
Third place finisher Joshua Ledet got to see a dream realized when Fantasia joined him on stage for a rousing gospel-enhanced version of Elton John’s “Take Me To The Pilot.” The headline this morning, however, is less about their performance and more about ‘Tasia’s outfit and Pocahontas weave. First the fashion, Chaka looked okay in her catsuit she has lost a lof of weight, she did not sing as well as she usually does though, she is one of my icons so I will give her a pass. Fantasia- Epic Fail on the catsuit you do not have the body for it you looked musch larger than usual. Fantasia has a good voice but she has too scream and over wmote on all of her songs which ruins it for me Joshua Ledet does the same. The show was a bore until Jennifer Holiday and Jessica Sanchez came outot sing the show stopper form Dreamgirls. Very GOOD!! performance no one I repeat no one can SANG!!!!!!! it!!!! like Ms J Holiday!!!! her voice is so strong and powerful and filled with emotion I LOVED IT!!!! , little Jessica Sanchez held her own in keeping up with J. Holiday. I like Jessica’s voice and even though she did not win I probably will purchase her first CD whenever it drops, now maybe along with X-Factor’s winner Melanie Amaro this will be the start of some REAL vocalists hitting the charts that can SANG THEIR ASSES OFF!!

To those who watched did they do the tribute to Donna Summer? I left the room a couple of times but I didn’t think I was gone that long to miss it.
Love Jennifer Holiday and that voice came from singing on broadway on broadway there aint no lip syncing you have to be able to sang to the rafters LOL!!! Her and Stephanie Mills snd a few more got the pipes!!! I missed most of the show just kept flipping the channels missed a lot of the performances I’m just tired of America Idol
@ redbone1954, I agree you cannot lip sync performing on Broadway they will not have it!!!! LOL!! and also you have to know how to Dance!!! if you are in a musical no moving like you have arthritis and you are suppose to be in your early 20′s like Rihanna’s performance What the heck was that????

I have, however, seen clips all over the damn place. And, from what I’ve seen and heard, that Jessica chick never did it for me and I was glad to hear she didn’t win. It should have been a two-man final from the snippets I heard.
Someone please tell Ms. Chaka not to wear power panties under a catsuit. You wear pantyhose, or nothing at all. And, those pantyhose should be the long line kind that come up to your bra. If you want some hold, you get the control top version. You definitely can’t do panties!

I’ve stop watching this show a long time ago. Could it be possible that Fanny is pregnant again, I sure hope not. Chaka loooks good but the girdle is showing. Jennifer scared me with those faces but she can sing her butt off.

Didn’t Fanny recently give birth to a baby boy? If so, that explains the baby fat. Chaka look’s good for her age and to be a granny, but she’s too old these days to be appearing on stage wearing a catsuit. See the layers or rolls on her body as shown in the picture? During the 70s she was hot in catsuits. Still a great singer today.
