*On Tuesday, the BET Awards nominations were announced in New York and it looks like it’s gonna be Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye and then everybody else.
Actually West received the most nods with seven, while Beyoncé, received six. and Jay-Z, earned five.
Last year West and Jay-Z collabo’d on the album “Watch the Throne.” Their songs — “Ni**as In Paris” and “Otis” — are up for video of the year. Beyoncé has two nominations in the same category with “Love on Top” and “Countdown.” The fifth nominee is Usher’s “Climax.”
Other multiple nominees include Brown, Lil Wayne, Drake and J. Cole.
Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are among the stars that will perform.
Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will receive a lifetime achievement award.
This year’s show will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson and once again takes place at the Shrine Auditorium in downtown LA on July 1.
I will watch to see Frankie Beverly FINALLY get an award for something the rest of that mess the teens can have it, As far as who is nominated other than Frankie who cares. I do love me some Frankie Beverly and Maze one of the best old school groups!! I never miss his show when he comes to town I don’t care if he never makes a NEW cd

I’m so glad to hear that Frankie Beverly and Maze will finally get some recognition. They can still sell out a concert and haven’t recorded an album in almost three decades. Not too many artists can say that. I love seeing them in concert. I hope they get some good people to do Whitney’s and Donna’s tributes.
