Moesha Star Yvette Wilson Battling Cancer for the Second Time

yvette wilson*Truly sad story.

Former Moesha star, Yvette Wilson, known for her role as Andell Wilkerson, is battling a nasty battle against cancer, says blogger Carlton Jordan.

Fans and supporters of the star are helping her fight the illness through the “CANCER SUCKS” fund. Money from donations will go toward medical expenses not covered by Wilson’s insurance.

This isn’t her first battle against a serious health related issue. The comedian, who also appeared in films like “House Party 2,” “House Party 3″ and “Friday,” also experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants, and cervical cancer.

She beat it the first time, but it’s made an aggressive return even after a long retreat.

My prayers go out to her. I can tell you that attitude goes a long way. Know someone that was diagnosed as Stage 4 two years ago, had a masectomy, chemo and radiation and is now in remission and doing just fine. The worse thing you can do is freak out and give up. All of the ladies that I know who’ve dealt with this recently and did their best to remain in a positive state have come through regardless of the original diagnosis. They are my sheroes. God bless you all!

You are so right about the positive attitude. Ms. Wilson has beaten this Cancer before and I have been praying for months that she beats it again. She originally didn’t want the public to know for whatever reason. But I twitted Russel Simmons and his brother Rev Run as well as a few others about her battle. I also sent emails to Essence and Carlton Jordan and Carlton was the first to run the story. Now that everyone is finding out, more people are starting to donate to her cancer fund. I just wish more high profile celebrities that know her would donate. It would make a big difference and she could get the treatment that could save her life. God Bless.

Thank God they are finally covering this story. I have written so many magazines, black websites and a few high profile celebrities on Yvette’s fight with cancer. I asked them to do a story on this because she was only given 6 months to live. Jordan Carlton was gracious enough to do a cover story on this and other websites have picked it up and now people are donating to her Cancer fund. I even twittered Russel Simmons and his brother Rev. Run. Of course I never heard back from either one of them, but I did ask them to pray for her even if they didn’t donate anything. I just wanted the public to know that she was in the fight of her life. I know that Shar Jackson is a very close friend of Yvettes and I let her know that I have been praying strongly for Ms. Wilson. I truly hope she pulls through.
