*Oprah Winfrey’s primetime series “Oprah’s Next Chapter” will feature a fresh interview with Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker this Sunday, May 27 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
According to a press release, the interview was conducted “days after Mayor Cory Booker had a near death experience in a burning building.”
It doesn’t appear that Booker’s headline-making criticism of President Obama’s attacks on Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital, and subsequent backtrack, had taken place before filming.
OWN’s release simply states, “One of America’s most dynamic and innovative leaders, opens up about his political future and explains why he’s still a bachelor.”
