*ABC’s Robin Roberts scored big with her recent interview with President Barack Obama on his evolutionary stance on gay marriage.
Over the past few days, America has been at the edge of its seat waiting for him to come out, so to speak. He told the nation he now personally defends the right for same sex couples to marry.

Besides all of that, the interview was not only a big deal for Roberts, but it may have been a bit nerve racking.
An analytical article published by Politico, critics suggest that Roberts may have been nervous that she is allegedly a lesbian. Although she’s not announced it to the world, the journalist has been pretty open about her thoughts regarding homosexuality.
“Most of the discussions [among TV people] today about why Robin got the interview have to do with her being gay,” a source told Gawker. “Not that she’s black, or friends of the Obamas.”
“Obviously they picked her because she’s black and gay,” said another industry insider familiar with the selection.
Some say that despite her ability to hide her (not so secret) secret from the world, she may not have dodged this bullet.
“It’s hardly a secret in the business,” the insider said. “I’ve seen her girlfriend. She’s around the building all the time—very attractive and well dressed.”
Well now!! I must say I have been a bit suspicious about Ms Roberts over the years she seemed like she might be gay some of her mannerisms but she always dressed glamorous and somewhat feminine she is a nice looking lady anyway so, if she is or she decides to come out then Good for her!!!

Babycakes, funny that Melody talked about this. I knew this would come to light. Obama knew himself that’s why she was chosen to do the interview. I think Robin is cool though. Her business. Queen Latifah is next. She may come out at the LGBT festival she is hosting soon.

I kept my fingers crossed on her not being gay, why?, I just don’t know. Sometimes all these folks rushing out of the closet, make me a bit uneasy, in that “I’ve been lied to” kind of way. (sigh) It is her and Latifah’s business, and as long as they do their job and pay their share of taxes, more power to them.
@Melody, Yep, I noticed. ABC didn’t get that nickname for no reason. Look at the shows that ABC touts and who the stars of the show are. I knew Sam was Gay the minute he came on the show.
Just want to go on record that I like Robin, she is classy and takes care of business. Not to mention I think she is an extremely attractive lady that happens to be gay.
Cade that’s exactly how I feel about Robin too. She’s very well liked, dresses well and I love her beaded necklaces which are mostly donated to her. Her deceased dad was also a Tuskeegee Airman.
It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the Log Cabin folks jumped ship over this marriage issue.

What you should have reported on is GMA once again beat The Today Show in the ratings. Ms. Roberts is now the prinicipal anchor of the #1 morning show on TV. That’s news. I’ve watched this beautiful Black American rise to the top of her profession following her years as a scholar athlete in college.
