Safety be Damned! Carmakers Roll Out New Wi-Fi Enabled Vehicles

*Texting while driving has been such a major issue that Oprah took it upon herself to start the “No Texting While Driving” pledge.

But now, carmakers are ignoring her warnings and pledge and pushing the no texting while driving envelope with their latest “enhancements” to their vehicles.

GM, Ford, and Nissan Motor Companies are following behind Volkswagen in their quest to keep you connected to the Internet while in their vehicles.

Volkswagen bill themselves as the first to offer in-car systems that “access Google, Facebook and Twitter”, according to the Detroit News. (more…)
