*Before the rising star could really get started with her career as an actress, rumors began to fly that Bobbi Kristina Brown quit Tyler Perry’s TBS series, “For Better or Worse.” But Perry denied the claims.
Word came out that she quit after filming a few episodes of the show, which is set to air in its second season in July.
“NOT TRUE AT ALL PEOPLE!!! There is no way that she could have walked off the set because we have finished [sic] taping the season,” the director posted on Faceboook.
One source told RadarOnline that Bobbi is overwhelmed and gotten in over her head.
“Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it,” the source said. “She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn’t handle doing the show right now. She’s still mourning her mom.”
She’s also filming her reality show “The Houston Family Chronicles,” which will air on Lifetime.
The extra work appears to be quite stressful and overwhelming for the teen, say sources. And if she truly did quit, it would require writers to make some major changes in the script.
In a new post on his website, Tyler refused to acknowledge that the actress is leaving. Instead, he validated the fact that she may have had a few tough days because she is still grieving her mother.
“Yes she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time,” Perry wrote. “She did a specific amount [on the show] and no she did not walk off. She wanted to do more but was not emotionally capable at the time.”
Tyler concluded by pleading for privacy for Bobbi, asserting, “PLEASE LEAVE THIS BABY ALONE!!! AND SHE IS A BABY.”
The director – who endured the loss of his own mother – said he initially cast Bobbi on the show to help her through the grieving process. She had previously spoken of her desire to pursue a career in entertainment, like her famous parents, Houston and Bobby Brown.
