*A Ukrainian reporter lavished a bit too much affection upon Will Smith at the Moscow premiere for “Men in Black 3,” and promptly got a backhand check to the face from the superstar in return.
Video footage, obtained by TMZ, shows Smith in his usual cheerful manner working his way down the red carpet and openly accepting an embrace from the reporter. But things take a turn when the man, sporting a white blazer, kisses Smith on both cheeks – during which the two men’s mouths come in close contact.
“What the hell is your problem, buddy?!” Smith says as he pushes the reporter away, then backhands him on the cheek. Moments later, Smith was overheard saying, “He’s lucky I didn’t sucker-punch him.”
TMZ notes the reporter’s interview tactics are all part of his “shtick.”
