*Amare Stoudemire apologized for making a homophobic slur in response to a tweet on Saturday made by a fan that charged the NBA star to “make up for this past season.”
After he posted the message, Stoudemire quickly fired back with a direct message containing laced with some choice language.
The fan, identified as Brian Ferrelli, posted a screen shot of the message and it caught the attention of the media.

So the basketball player apologized first thing Sunday morning using another direct message to the fan. Ferrelli posted another screen shot of the remorseful message.
“I apologize for what I said earlier. I just got off the plane and had time to think about it. Sorry bro!! No Excuses. Won’t happen again.”
