Creflo Dollar to Church: ‘She was Not Choked. She was Not Punched’ (Video)

*The Rev. Creflo Dollar Jr. took to the pulpit of his south Fulton County megachurch Sunday to proclaim his innocence of charges that he choked and beat his 15-year-old daughter, says AJC.com.

And those in the congregation say they believe him.

“He did not commit the crime,” former World Changers Church International member Naomi Lyles told Channel 2 Action News.

Thousands of congregants at World Changers Church International gave Dollar a standing ovation — and remained standing as he talked for 10 minutes about his arrest and the events preceding it. Dollar had not spoken in public since his arrest early Friday.

“I want you to hear it personally from me: All is well in the Dollar household,” he said. “A family conversation with our youngest daughter got emotional. Things escalated from there.”

But he said: “She was not choked. She was not punched.” What a police report described as scratches on her neck were remnants of a long-ago case of eczema, he said.

“Anything else is exaggeration and sensationalism.”

Lyles said she thought he was sincere.

“It was what I thought it was,” she said. “It was blown out of proportion, and I believe his word.”

A church member, Alton Stephens, said he could identify with Dollar’s plight.

“I’ve raised children of my own, and being a parent is not easy,” Stephens said. “I’m 100 percent behind my pastor. He’s human.”

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the 50-year-old minister on simple battery charges after initial reports from the teen, his youngest child, and from his 19-year-old, Alexandria Dollar.

why would your children lie on you? why o why was taffi in the kitchen at 1am? . . . .don’t lie on the pharmaceutical companies, eczema meds doesn’t leave a scar raw enough to be mistaken from a fresh welt . . Their house must be laid out if (why was taffi in the kitchen at 1am . . again) taffi couldn’t hear them fighting , and LOUD-TALKING?!?! . .I guess he has “gaytuhs” around the house like fire extinguishers .I agree he should correct that little fast-assed daughter but, we all know he “backed” her up like a hood rat. May have deserved that treatment but, that IS his daughter. Men never cease to amaze me, assault a female, and when confronted, they run, deny it, or both . . . .and we (and Taffi) let them get away with it.

  2. All you got to do is read the police report to see that the pigs came there with an agenda.

“We going to put this uppity N in his place.”

The older daughter was coerced by the police to change her initial written statement to one that was incriminating enough to justify an arrest.

Whatever is written on that paper, is what you need to accept as evidence. You can’t force a witness to write what you want. That’s witness tampering.

    • versatile says:

What the hell are you talking about? When the oldest daughter changed her initial statement, she changed it to be more favorable to her father. In other words she downplayed the incident. Didn’t you read the report you attached? In the end, she resorted back to her initial statement.

      • Gayle K says:

Reds needs to go back on her meds and get a stronger prescription. Every incident results in her blaming the outcome on racism. Some of these responses remind me of the congregation that supported Eddie Long, even after he settled out of court. God bless all the black children.

        • MelodyCool says:

And may God bless all the abominable mutants like you Gayle.

        • I wouldn’t rely on the opinion of a white person (or some other non black white wannabe) as to what actions are motivated by race. When Obama responded to the obvious racism which led to Skip Gates arrest, white people were unanimous in saying that he was out of line. Of course later evidence showed that all of Sgt Crowley’s actions were motivated by race and his report was full of lies.

That incident more than any, convinced me where white people are coming from when they claim to be in denial about race. They didn’t see any of Crowley’s actions as particularly objectionable, even though all of his actions included examples of racial bias. Assuming that the person was black even though the dispatcher did not mention the individual’s race. Lying about Gates saying Yo Moma. That’s just how the typical white expect a white cop to treat a black man. The whole idea that Gates was arrested was acceptable, since he had the audacity to question why a white cop would continue to treat him as a suspect in his own house even after he had shown proof of residence.

If Creflo was white, he wouldn’t be arrested. White people abuse their kids, do drugs, burgularize homes, and commit way more crimes in total than blacks … but they not in jail.

So how the fuck a white bitch or whitey wannabe going to tell me that the arrest of a black man has nothing to do with race.

      • No, you are the one that needs to read the fucking report. (Read it twice, if necessary).

        The police report:
The first statement she wrote was completely different to the events she had explained to me. She wrote “my sister got into an argument with my father. She went into the kitchen and began to get disrespectful to my father. He simply bend her over and gave her a spanking, nothing that could physically harm her. I changed my story because I thought the situation went out of hand and I didn’t want my dad to get arrested.” That was the exact words from her first statement. After confronting her with the statement she had written, and the testimony she had originally gave, (older daughter) wrote a second statement explaining what she first told me. (older daughter) wrote the first statement due to her parents being outside with her while she was writing it. After separating her away from her parents, she then wrote down what she had first told me when I arrived.

“When the oldest daughter changed her initial statement, she changed it to be more favorable to her father. In other words she downplayed the incident. ”

So what’s your point? I’m not contending that. She did that when she wrote the first statement.

“Didn’t you read the report you attached? In the end, she resorted back to her initial statement.”

What’s your point again? Where did I say she didn’t?

The point I was making since you are so slow, is that when she gave her first written statement, the police had no right to coerce her to change it.

I’ve never been a big fan of Creflo especially when he told congregants of New Birth to go back and support their pedophile pastor but sometimes these kids get out of line and will test you and u do have to put them in their place. I don’t believe he got that aggressive with her per se but I do believe he shook her up a bit. Something tells me there may be an ongoing problem with this 15yr old. She could be in a rebellion stage but however the case may be she was in the wrong for arguing with her father if he already said no. No means no and that should have been the end of it.

I know theis man’s birth name is not Dollar???? LOL!!! I think he changed the last name to that because all he is about is the money, he is nothing more than a snake oil salesman plain and simple. I do not listen to him at all. I think there was a better way to handel his 15 year old daughter than to put his hands on her. I am not married and I do not have any kids so maybe I am just naive as to raising kids. LOL!!! but violence was not the answer.

    • MelodyCool says:

That may well be his birth name. In fact, I know someone white in the Atlanta area with the same surname. Check the phone book there.

  5. he sure have beat her butt, kids has no respect for their parent no more. if he said she can not go to that party, that sure have been the end of it , i might had to go to jail but when i got out, my daugther had to go, i am the owner of my house no child can not rule my house they just the guest and iam the owner and who ever called the police need to be a sham,e pastor dollar you did no WRONG. LET THE LAW TAKE HER IN AND RAISE SHE WANT TO BE GROWN. LET HER GO it could’nt be my child i do not play that.

  6. SoulRaider415 says:

Is good to see That Rev. Dollar is practicing what he preaches. Spoiled the Rod, Spoil the Child that is in the bible. When I was 15yrs old my grandmother would beat my a## in front of the police if I called them, and have my clothes packed and would tell me ” now go and live with them”.

I never even dreamed of calling anyone at that age during the 70′s, but hey you discipline your child out of love and it’s all scrutnized by the Child Protective Services and the police, so for my kids, they call the popo, they gogo with them.

    Peace Out!!!

music101, Gayle is dumb as rocks as you can now tell. Plus she just recently jumped the border so that explains a lot.
