*Bullying has taken on a life of its own in the schools in America. Some of it so bad that it has resulted in the deaths of a lot of children and young people.
But a recent death has rocked the community with the age of the victim and cause of death.
According to USA Today, a 7-year old saw no other way out of the hell of bullying except to take his own life. The child hung himself with a belt from his bedpost. (more…)

A Detroit 7- year old commits suicide over bullying. This is very heartfelt. What an horrible & hurtful outcry.
I can barely grasp adults and teens doing this but, this poor child was still in his garanimals. Something has clearly come undone. Are/have we as a society, become so apathetic and careless that this is becoming the norm? My sympathy to the family.

It’s a sad story that seems to be on repeat. I don’t think the media is helping the situation. There are stories like this being written regularly, but where is the condemnation of the people that are supposed to protect these children. Why is there no outrage that we send our kids to school and have an expectation that they are to be kept safe and they are not.
Its hard to imagine that if a child was that disrespectful to their teacher, they’d be kicked out of school. However, the same disregard to fellow students is allowed to continue and results in this.
