George Zimmerman Pleads for Bail … Again

*The man who took Trayvon Martin’s lifer is attempting once again to get released again from jail.

George Zimmerman’s attorney told the judge that he’s not a threat and isn’t at flight risk. Attorney Mark O’Mara cited that his client stayed in contact with authorities during his initial release on bail.

A judge will consider the motion at a second hearing at the end of the week.

Zimmerman currently awaits trial as he’s been charged with second degree murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was unarmed. Prosecution suggests he shot the teen during a confrontation in a gated community in Sanford, Fla.

Zimmerman pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense based on the Florida “Stand Your Ground” law.

The case has been controversial, as Trayvon Martin supporters have cited claims of racism. Zimmerman has, however received numerous supportive donations from white supremacist groups. The suspect raised at least $135,000 from his website.

His wife was recently charged for lying in court regarding the couple’s funds.
