Jackson’s Unity Tour will Skip First Two Planned Dates

jacksons

L-R: Jackie, Marlon and Tito Jackson

*Sorry Louisville and Cincinnati.

The Jacksons say they don’t want to put the cart before the horse, so they’ve has cancelled their first two concerts because they’ve been busy recording their new album.

Shows in Louisville and Cincinnati are being skipped and chalked up to “scheduling conflicts.”

But a source close to the Jacksons tells TMZ the brothers (Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito) want to finish their studio album before they hit the road so they can perform the new tracks on tour.

It’s all good as the Jacksons plan to make up the missed dates, but nothing is planned so far.

As of now the Unity tour is scheduled to  kick off  June 20 in Rama, Ontario, Canada.

    Uhhhmmm, Randy ??

And what were the original concert dates for Louisville and Cincinnati that they needed extra time devoted to finishing their new album ?? It’s already June 5th ~ sheesh. Will more dates get cancelled ??

Curious what ticket sales are looking like …

  3. Can we say, low or no ticket sales…I mean really, who in their rabid ass mind would go to this concert?

  4. I can imagine ticket sales not enough or low. It’s been so long. I wonder what songs will they perform on stage? If this concert was free with VIP seating etc., it’s unlikely that I would be interested. The Jackson’s are a famous family that have seen their day.

How can they call this the unity tour when Randy refuses to be a part of it? What a bunch of dumb asses? They are irrelevant yet they don’t get it.

It’s sad that only us Blacks here in America won’t support our own. How old are the old ass Rolling Stones, Kiss, etc. Let’s not forget that Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Poison, etc., still perform and tour and they’re all as old as I am and older. How many old ass Latin, West Indian, etc., acts still perform to sold out crowds each and every time they tour the states?!!! We are the only ones that show our asses and then complain there’s no good music out there today. Why do our performers have to do gigs solely outside of the U.S. to get paid?

And, what difference does it make that Michael is dead?! Plenty of groups perform after their leads quit, die, etc. The Jackson 5 wasn’t only Michael and he didn’t perform lead on every song. And, even if he had, everyone is replaceable. EVERYONE! Somehow, someway, we can all be replaced. What’s the band touring now with the Asian replacement lead singer that everyone is raving about?!

I swear I can’t stand my own damn people most of the time! I really wish you’d take the time to re-evaluate yourselves because most of you so damned small minded and stupid it’s mind boggling.

It’s shit like this that gets us treated like shit by the rest of the planet. No one will cherish us as a people until we start cherishing ourselves.

Now, I’m gonna wait for the stupid asses that think they’re so intelligent to come back with their comments because they totally misconstrued what I’ve said here and totally missed the point.

      You are right.

We should give them a chance. It would most likely motivate and galvanize them. For their part, they should do EXACTLY what you suggest here. They should REPLACE Michael, and not with a hologram. They should find another singer with that kind of energy and who can sing on the same scale. It COULD work.

Shit, Barry Gibb can sell out a show and he’s THE last BeeGee, . . . . .this isn’t about nothing but ticket sales . . .they may want to think about birthday parties or small cruise ships. They are not worth the money. I’d see the Temps, Pips (sans Gladys), any old-heads before these guys . .there’s no bang-for-your-buck.

    • brooklynbabe says:

Yeah, it’s about ticket sales and it’s about doing what you love.

Let’s not forget all of the white cover bands out there that tour and make a killing all year every year performing someone else’s material and making banik off of someone else’s shine.

We need to stop all the hatin’. Seriously, we’re our own worse enemies.

“It’s just like what I said about Michael and his career being ‘over like Mike Tyson’… the same thing goes for the Jacksons – the Jacksons could not come together because there is no “unity” amongst them.” “The Jacksons are like dinosaurs – they had their time and are now extinct.” This is a quote from someone name Phoenix who is alleged to know all about the Jacksons and I am inclined to agree with him. It’s not just about us supporting them it’s about them being able to do anything without . Michael which has been proven that they just can’t get it together. The article also states that if they had a record desl even with an independent record label we would know about it.So I love and support old school music.Frankie Beverly has not had a new record come out in more than 35 years but let him come to my city and I am there the music is timeless. How can you support something that did not happen. They cancelled the concert due to low ticket sells sorry but people may just not be interesed and in the end (we) the consumer has a right to spend their money any damn way they chose

  9. they need janet for this to work, and if they had randy on conga’s and electric keys like he use to it might work. play small venues to gain interest. stop trying to land big gigs. all must loose weight and look healthy. then it might work. try a couple of new tunes on stage. stop trying to make “an album”. your are not their yet. name it “The Nutra System Tour”.

  10. JustConcern says:

Sorry but they are delusional!!! these 3 are not the most talented
of the family!!! (Tito is about the best out of the 3,) He’s a great
    guitar player.

    • lol…was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but the more i think about it…i think you are right..lol
