Nas Defends Paltrow’s Use of N-Word Because ‘She’s a Real N***a’ (Video)

nas*When it comes to the N-word, rapper Nas is down for using it by any means necessary it seems.

So, it should come as no surprise he has he has no problem with actress Gwyneth Paltrow using it as she did in her world rocking tweet last week. He says she has free reign to use it because “she’s a real n***a.”

RELATED: Paltrow Defends Her N-Word Tweet

“I would slap the s*** out of somebody for Gwyneth Paltrow,” Nas told (Atlanta’s) CBS Local. “She’s the homie, she’s cool. Gwyneth gets a pass. Real people get a pass. We know what this s*** is. We don’t interrupt Italians when they say ‘Wop’ to each other. They gonna punch you in the mouth if you interrupt that. Don’t interrupt us. We pick and choose.

“Some might not feel the same way,” he said. “Some of us will get angrier about it than others; but some people get a pass. The people that I know who are cool and real n****s, Gwyneth Paltrow is a real n****, that’s my homie. That’s how I’m on it. Some people get a pass.”

Now everyone needs a list of guidelines that lays out what it means to be a “real n***a.”

Here’s another ignoramus they can point to while calling us the N-word. And it’s always a dumb male that is ‘first’ to jump up to justify our denigration!

We are taking action against this fool and the other fools who are playing a part in this, please sign this if you agree and pass it on.

      • MelodyCool says:

nylaconnect, I am ON it and thanks for posting! Fools like Nas and the other idiot who ran up claiming he took Gwyneth’s phone and tweeted that message on her behalf needs to know we do not like being called the N-word. They always forget to inform their ‘new’ little white friends that it is not acceptable to all of us. Nas needs to be put out to pasture or go back to Queensbridge.

Get off the plantation or be boycotted 4-ever!!!!!

  2. MrUnapologetic69 says:

Lookkkkk here… I’m not going to rip Paltrow for what she said because I believe the people she was in the presence of made her feel it’s okay, acceptable, no biggie. On top of that, our (black community) wreckless and constant use of the word among ourselves makes it almost impossibe to say who shouldn’t and shouldn’t use it. Everyone “WE” make a song using the N-word we literally give every non-black person who listen to it the rght to repeat it – especially if they bought it. I don’t use the N-word; I don’t think it’s okay for ANYONE to use it – PERIOD! That said, I think what Nas has said here probably some the most ignorant shyt I’ve heard in a long time! He should have just kept him mouth shut!

  3. MelodyCool says:

I’m sure Gwyneth doesn’t see herself as a N**** but fools like Nas are so enthralled at the least bit of attention or close contact with whites they will take on the entire Black race defending them. Maybe she’ll throw him a bone once he finally sinks on to the bottom and into oblivion.

  4. Gayle K says:

This is a good example of “show me how you want to be treated”. The majority of the fans that listen to hip hop are little white kids. Guess what, they use the N word and assume it means “my bro”. I agree, let everywhite person use it.

    • Macdawgg says:

Please tell me your joking right? I’m an older Black-man and if ANY white kid EVER uses that word EVEN in a song around me I’m going to break my foot off in his behind!

      • MelodyCool says:

Gayle K is not Black so it’s naturally that she would want to encourage non-Blacks to spew slurs at Blacks. Spics and wetbacks have some nerve!

      • Gayle K says:

Well get ready to show your violent side. You have black celebs on TV saying its ok to use the word, like Whoopi and Don Lemon and then you have Sherri Shepherd saying its ok for blacks to use it publicly to each other but Whites and Latinos need to understand that it’s not a word to be used. The confusion.

        • MelodyCool says:

PUTA Gayle, you get ready to get your azz stomped bloody if you ever think it’s within your right to use the N-word to wrong person’s face. You drug mule b*tches will get put down like the dogs you are!

        • Macdawgg says:

Gayle-Let me correct you on something. Whoopi, Don and Sherri aren’t SPOKESMAN for the ENTIRE African Community and they sure as HELL don’t speak for me. I have my own mind and I don’t care WHAT celebrity or ANYONE else who thinks it’s okay says. I will NOT accept that word in my presence from anyone!!! I don’t care if he’s in the White-house or an out-house!! My children who are in their twenties WON’T use that word because they were RAISED not to!!!

          • Gayle K says:

Mac it should like your thinking is of the old their is a new wave of thinking within the black community.

          • MelodyCool says:

Macdawgg, Gayle is our resident ‘interloper’ hellbent on making Blacks understand that we should submit to whatever wetbacks (like her) or whites are itching to perpetuate against Blacks. This is why we must never lobby and support the Dream Act or any amnesty deals little ‘illegals’ are trying to hatch.

  5. Macdawgg says:

MrUnapologetic69-You HIT the nail on the head. What I don’t understand is WHY the media goes out and interviews some of the MOST IGNORANT folks (Nas, Ice-T, Jay-Z) on the use of the word but WON’T interview someone with intelligence(Dr. William Poussant) about the use of the word. I DON’T use it and when I hear a person of color that does I correct them. Our youth have had this word ingrained into thier mind that it’s acceptable-IT”S NOT!! no more than if I were to use the B-word to address Nas mother, Ice-T, mom or Jay-Z’s wife or daughter. And yes many white folks do feel there’s a double standard(okay if we use it but not for them). Hoepfully parents can and should raise thier children that it’s a horrible degrading word.

    • MelodyCool says:

Non-Blacks understand the double standard quite well. I’ve heard dirty Italians, Irish, jews, gays, stinkin’ latinos etc use their own slurs with each other but it’s another thing if we use it against them. John Leguizamo even had a one man show called “Spic-o-Rama”. More and more I’m starting to agree with Phil Mushnick about Jay-Z and the rest of the pack who insist on encouraging and inviting ‘outsiders’ to insult us at will. It makes you HATE those stupid SOBs!

  6. I usually don’t post, but it has to be said…..dumb, ignorant, muthafukker!

  7. babycakes says:

Nas needs to be quiet!!! just because Ms Paltrow is friend of your does not give her tthe liberty to sue that vile and disgusting word and I do not care if it is in the title of that song, she could of used another word to describe her good time with friends in Paris!!!

  8. MelodyCool says:

Gayle, you sound like the nasty putas that think nothing of fcuking and becoming pregnant by their own daughter’s teen boyfriends. You’re as desperate as those drug lord loving b*tches in ‘Sin Pechos No Hay Paraiso’. This particular novella sheds considerable insight into the plight of poverty putas like you.

  9. Diva007 says:

Now I love Nas but I highly disagree with his statement. It was ignorant and he doesn’t speak for the African American community. Where’s the pride and respect for your own people. They love to ride so hard for these whiteys when they have not stood to support anything on behalf of your community but yet these people continue to tap dance and bojangle their azzes for these folk. Unbelievable!!! We are going backwards with this one. The ancestors are rolling and moaning over and over off this chump. But I guess he gotta figure out how to get that IRS bill paid huh!! Maybe his n#gga Gweenie will toss him a few thousands.

  10. timmdogg_00 says:

What an ignorant fool to suggest it’s COOL for someone to use this language towards blacks or one another! I am sure his great-grandparents wouldn’t approve or someone in his family that lived through racism when it was very prevalent during the 40′s thru the 60′s…hell, even NOW!!!
Kelis – is starting to look like the sane one more and more!!!

  11. musbdherbs says:

Nas sounds like an utter idiot. I understand “why” Paltrow used the word. She was tweeting the song’s title. What I do not understand is the black folk who defend her use as “ok.”

No, it’s not ok for her to use it no more than it is for any other nonblack.

I have much more respect for Don Lemmon’s position than this foolishness. Don acknowledges the intellectual truth of the matter. That is, you should be able to talk about the word nigger w/o abbreviating it.

  12. And I used to like Nas. Thought he was more of the conscience rappers out here that usually talked with some sense. He’s changed my mind. Well…he and Jay-z can let Gwen walk up to them and call them all types of Ni**as, but she better NOT think she can walk around calling any and all black people that. She’s gonna be in for a rude awakening. Because I know in her sheltered life, she’s a little…no..A LOT detached from reality.

  13. TesticAl says:

Gayle’s DUMBASS said this “The majority of the fans that listen to hip hop are little white kids”. WRONG! White kids BUY the music but the majority of the fans are not white. You’re a fool if you
    even believe that one bit.

    • I don’t give a damn if I am wrong or not, white kids are listening to black people singing the N word as if it’s a blessing to be called the N word so they also are using the word.

      • TesticAl says:

You’re wrong though in your comment though. Dead ass wrong.Own up to it. Yes white and other non black kids fly off the handle (just as blacks do) using nigga. Trust this, they aren’t saying this around black people. They are well aware of what the consequences could be.They use it amongst themselves.

        • Gayle K says:

Let’s say it’s said behind your back from listening to rappers sing about the N Word? Does that make you feel better? Wouldn’t you rather be called an idiot when a white person is mad at you behind your back oppose to the N Word? Do you see the confusio? Just stop using the word and stop sending mixed messages.

          • TesticAl says:

Your first question and second question is stupid. It being said “behind my back” is just that. BEHIND MY BACK. I don’t know it’s being said so it’s not hurting me. I agree that the word shouldn’t be used but we know that isn’t going to stop.

  14. MelodyCool says:

TesticAl, Gayle is ‘new’ to this country and it takes time to bring these backwards border drug mules up to speed. You and I know we can’t control what mofos say behind our backs, but we accord them the proper respect as long as they conduct themselves appropriately ‘to our faces’…and that’s what matter. I can’t imagine what they say behind ‘FAT BACK’ Gayle’s back.

    • TesticAl says:

LMFAO! Melody you spoke to the truth. You and I have clashed a grip on here, but I’m in total agreeance with you 100% on this. “You and I know we can’t control what mofos say behind our backs, but we accord them the proper respect as long as they conduct themselves appropriately ‘to our faces’…and that’s what matter.” That right there is REAL!

Lmfao at fat back Gayle! You’ve been going TA on her something tough these past few weeks. LOL!

  15. Grace12_34 says:

If you think Nas is an ass, just look at this video of Ice-T defending the whole thing:

    http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/thats-really-week/june-4-10-ice-t-gwyneth-paltrow-using-145824657.html

    I can’t STAND him!

  16. Apparently Nas is a very ignorant ass n***a b***h himself, just sniffing on white cotton panties. In no manner would Gwyneth Paltrow defend him on CBS in front of white people by stating she would slap the s**t out of somebody for, or over Nas. Furthermore, he’s talking about slapping somebody? Well in return that somebody could easily turn around & pump a couple of bullets in his head for the real bitch move on his part. I had no idea that Nas would totally be so stupid to come off like that. Just where does he get off thinking that Gwyneth really give’s a f**k about his dumb a** to begin with? Gwyneth is Jewish-Belarusian, Jewish-Polish, German and English. Everything, but not black, or some n***a from the hood. There seems to be misconception, whenever a person like Nas view a white person giving them what’s perceived as the time of day, that non white person automatically gets a black card and life time membership and rights to say the N word anytime. So Gwyneth is the official homie, she’s cool just because Nas say so? LOL! The masses of black people are not hardly listening or thinking about some damn Nas who is nothing more than a real BOO BOO THE FOOL. Unbelievable he is so absurd. This little n***a Charlie does not speak, or represent the black community. It’s okay for a certain white person to use the “N” word, while other whites are restricted & subject to beat down. I guess this means you have to learn somehow on when to capitalize the “N’ word.

Some people get a pass.” Now everyone needs a list of guidelines that lays out what it means to be a “real n***a.” LOL, he only says what it means to be a real n***a, but no set guidelines, or procedures defining criteria on how some whites get a pass & permission to use the N word, while others don’t. Nas silly a is opening up a big can of worms that will eventually cost him. Low or no record sales, almost a thing of the past, makes a controversial statement as if it’s to serve as law of the land to abide or go by. Nas, get ready to face the likes of Rev. Al Sharpton, and Rev Jesse Jackson, and good ol’ Bill Cosby.

    • Grace12_34 says:

      VERY well said!

    • *There seems to be misconception whenever a person like Nas view a white person giving them what’s perceived as the time of day. All of a sudden that non black person automatically gets a black card and life time membership that includes rights to say the “N” word anytime.

Nas silly ass is the new version of a Kanye West.

In regard to Nas, I suppose the likes of Bill Maher, Robert De Niro, and Paul Wall just to name a few would also constitute as homies. Since these men have dated, or married black women and is down with them. With that said, can you imagine what Nas would say, or do if fellow white rapper Paul Wall called Nas the “N” word? More than likely that would be a different meaning and story. (Remember Paul Wall is cool too, just like Gwyneth Paltrow is). Not all white people are automatically racist just because they may have said the “N” word as a figure of speech. It’s no secret that the “N” word tends to appear and is boasted in many songs, videos of the rap / hip-hop as well as other genre of music. White people don’t be blinded that you think you can use this word freely, the rules & usage will change at any given moment. The “N” word can equally be death for you the next half second. If the group’s name is really NWA that stands for (N*ggas with Attitude) then no one should really get upset if Cameron Diaz decides tweets the words “N*ggas with Attitude” to her fellow friends, but that’s not so. Nevertheless, the majority of black people, particular older blacks do not appreciate the “N” word. It’s better not to use it, if you don’t know when, or how it’s going to be accepted. Do keep in mind of the old saying such as: “White patty, white patty, white patty you don’t shine call me a n***a I’ll beat your behind. Should you hear to blacks laughing calling each other the “N” word in a conversation, don’t try to figure it out, just keep your ass out of it period.

      • MelodyCool says:

        Cosign, muzyk!

I can feel it already…someone is going to get hurt or put down while directing the N-word at someone Black who doesn’t appreciate it and understand what they are actually trying to do. They will be quick to invoke the names of Jay-Z, Nas, Ice-T and the others we can expect to rush in trying to protect Gwyneth. I noticed none of them rushed in to protect Kanye after the backlash when he snatched the mic from T Swift, but watch Kanye will be next one to step into the fray on Gwyneth’s behalf. I’ll never support any of them…including Gwyneth. This woman seems to be linked more to others than her own husband which I find quite odd. She wants to take Beyonce’s place and one day she’ll make a full grab for it.

  17. NYCsoul says:

Between the educated FOOLS and the uneducated BUFFOONS, this is what we have ‘repping’ the black community, supporting all kinds of foolishness in the name of ‘keeping it real’. None of these rappers have been ‘real’ in a minute as they are so desperate to go ‘hollyweird’ and kiss yt ass. With their all their braggadacio and ‘tough guy’ image, they are really cunning captialist who don’t give a damn about their communities and only what they can exploit for their benefit. Jay Z and Ice T are cases in point. Nas needs $$ so he’ll say anything to get in Jay Z’s good graces.

  18. MelodyCool says:

[moriarty • 1 day 22 hours ago in the interview, did you notice how Ice-T stated: "black people get bent out of shape. they need to shut the F up". Wait, he is black, but he refers to blacks as "they". Ice-T thinks he is white, little house pet.]

I didn’t watch the video on the link GRACE provided but the vast majority of the comments were sickening and in support of Ice-T. Little men like him and Nas are so desperate to ingratiate themselves with whites that they will actually swallow their pride and openly invite them ALL to insult Black people in the hopes that they will be provided for somehow. They are some of the most selfish, pathetic and weak-willed men on the planet. They are actively soliciting for the debasement of an entire people in exchange for ‘temporary’ celebrity.

  19. MelodyCool says:

I could never be cool enough with any of them to allow one to call me the N-word. By the same token, I’ve never referred to non-Blacks and gays with slurs they use with each other in my presence. In situations like this, I’m always suspicious they are sneakily trying to open up an opportunity to call me to N-word.

  20. Ice T is biracial. He’s half black and half white. It’s obvious by his tone that he is not the brother you think or want. Several years ago this so call legendary gangsta hip-hop made a record such as “Cop Killer” and expressed his dislikes and hatred for cops. Then this fake ass punk turned right around and started playing every cop role that came his way, especially on Law & Order, as well as another show. He played various roles all for the money. A phoney gangsta on wax, and a law abiding citizen in a police uniform.

  21. TesticAl says:

Nas’ new album will be purchased by me when it comes out. *Puts on flame suit*
