*NBC’s “Today” show has long been the home of the nation’s favorite starting line-up: Al Roker, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric … oops! She abandoned ship for CBS Evening News. What’s the issue ? Why is everyone hating on Ann ? Provide “hush” money just to get rid of her ??
They trying to make Ann the fall guy. Matt Lauer doesn’t like her either. She probably makes him feel insecure.
Sometimes you wonder how much of a factor is her race, but Bryant Gumbel did very well during his time, and Robin doing aiight over at GMA. I think it has a lot to do with the rapport you have with your co-host, and since the mofo doesn’t like her, it’s not going to work.
I really like her and thinks she does a good job!
Lauer has had three female anchors and reportedly did not get along with Katie Couric and ?no longer? gets along with Ann now that she is his co-anchor.
A common denominator is appearing…………and it has nothing to do with race.
I can’t wait to see what is Lauer and NBC going to say or who are they going to blame when their ratings remain the same and/or go down further. Because ABC started gain on NBC when Katie left…….. lol
Ann is one of the few female anchors I can actually sit through . . . .It seems when the women start showing some age, Matt wants to give them the heave-ho, given that HIS looks have looooong sailed and sunk with the titanic. olskool, I don’t believe it’s all rating either. If she does take it she’ll make 20X’s that, with a tight-well written expose.
