*On the next edition of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the TV maven continues her chat with her once nemesis rapper/actor 50 Cent.
She asked Fiddy to name the people he knows genuinely love him. Other than his grandmother and his son, it was a question that stumped him.
“Short periods of time? Lots of people,” he said. But that’s not true love. That’s perhaps opportunistic love.”

Lady O then hit an even bigger block when she asked him who he was certain had his back. In a pinch 50 Cent doesn’t feel that there’s anyone he can definitely count on no matter what.
“I have asked myself this question,” Winfrey said of the love query. “It’s not a very long list.” It painted a surprising picture of loneliness amidst such fame and adoration.
“Oprah’s Next Chapter” airs Sundays at 8pm E/P on OWN.

Sorry fiddy fans, I don’t know his backstory but, where’s his mother and father in this grand scheme of things, to only have his grandmother and child having his back? Preaching to the choir bruh’, But, that’s life as it is . .We all know/knew a lot of people and can count on one hand who our friends are/were and who would have our back . . . . .I’m gonna tune in.
His mother was murdered when he was a little boy and she never told him who is father was… which is why he ended up being raised by his grandparents. I saw this interview and it was really, really good. Oprah asked some really thought-provoking questions. I walked away from it with a little bit more appreciation and respect for the person Curtis Jackson has become and is striving to become. I was never a fan and still isn’t, but I ain’t HATING on the broker.
nightshift, rent Get Rich or Die Tryin’ for Fiddy’s story. Think I’ll watch it again soon.
Thanks Mel, I will. Not being a rap fan, and NOT because I’m a woman of a certain age, I just thought it was a “rap” movie, not anything close to autobiographical.
