*Now that the funeral has happened and the immediate grief of her passing has subsided, Whitney Houston’s estate is up for grabs and could cause problems among family members.
Just as Michael Jackson’s estate brought on a ton of controversy, the same is true for the late diva.
Insiders say putting a family member in charge could generate issues. (You hear that Pat Houston and Houston family?) The way it should be done is the way Michael Jackson’s estate is being handled.

“If Michael’s estate had left control to a family member, it would have been a disaster. These matters need to be handled by trained professionals and lawyers, not someone that married your brother,” a music manager told The Huffington Post columnist Naughty But Rob, referring to Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, Pat Houston.
She has been taking the lead lately. At the recent Billboard Music Awards, Pat, along with Bobbi Kristina, accepted the Millennium Award on behalf of the late superstar. She’s also the brains behind coming reality show, “Houston Family Chronicles.”
A family insider observed that Pat appears to be making this her moment after being in the “shadows” of Whitney.
“But she needs to be careful about what she wishes for. As Whitney knew too well, being famous and all that it brings isn’t always good.”

DITTO on what Grace12_34 posted!!!! STEP BACK PAT, never even knew who the hell she was until Whitney death. And what the hell was she doing up on the stage with Bobbie K. while she was trying to accept an award for HER MOTHER. SMH And the being escorted to the stage by B.K.’s boyfriend and Whitneys brother, COME ON. Pat wanted to take that stage all by herself, she just fronting and using Whitney daughter to get in the spotlight. Its a dam shame.
I hope Cissy takes the reigns on this and hires an outsider with objectivity to oversee Whitney’s estate.
i don’t beleive a WORD of the article, especially after what Ms. Cissy Houston said about her daughter future wealth and estate. Pat is the executive and manager of the estate of which Whitney left in charge.

That’s right. Someboy needs to call forensics. Regardless of this article, Pat’s behavior on the night Whitney passed is suspect. She put that out herself during her Oprah interview. She keeps putting herself upfront at every opportunity. There was no need for her to be on stage with BC and there is no need for her to be in a reality show. You are so right Nighshift! Just wondering, if anybody knows for certain, what happened or who was the culprit that took and sold that pic of Whitney in the casket. I did read that Pat Houston may have had a hand in it and I did see a pic of her going into the funeral parlor escorting a man on crutches who was supposely not really a family member. But on the arm of Pat was let into the facility.
