Phoenix was the first and only one who predicted Michael Jackson’s death in an interview with World Entertainment News in 2009. Phoenix states, “It’s just like what I said about Michael and his career being ‘over like Mike Tyson’… the same thing goes for the Jacksons – the Jacksons could not come together because there is no “unity” amongst them.” “The Jacksons are like dinosaurs – they had their time and are now extinct.”
Phoenix stated, “I tried to warn the public the very first day the tour was announced and now here we are and I have proven I am right – not base upon my predictions, but based upon my knowledge and know-how of this industry.”
Phoenix always said “if you ever see the Jacksons on stage again as a group, one of them will have passed away, one of them would be in a wheelchair, and one of them will be on crutches. This is what would happen if all 5 (6) members ever went up there on the stage again, including Randy, because it’s been over three decades since the Jacksons have performed together on stage.”

The Jacksons’ tour dates were scheduled back to back and they made a statement about Michael doing 50 shows that were too close to one another for his This Is It Tour. The Jacksons are now seniors in their late 50’s and early 60’s getting ready for their AARP membership card. If anyone would have gotten ill it would have been one of the brothers up there on the stage going into cardiac arrest, according to Phoenix.
With the recent cancelation of the first few dates of the Jacksons’ Unity Tour 2012, many people have speculated otherwise on the reason behind the canceled dates is that the Jackson brothers want to finish their studio album before they hit the road. The Jacksons have been saying they are going to be releasing a new album for over two decades now!
If the Jacksons were, indeed, releasing a new album, we would have known what record label they are on even if it is an independent label. Realistically, no record company has given them a deal. Record companies base their artists and promotions upon numbers and the Jacksons cannot guarantee them numbers.
There cannot be a Jacksons Unity Tour without the glue that kept it all together – Michael Jackson! It just won’t work. So why did they wait until after Michael’s death to do this tour? According to Phoenix, perhaps because the golden goose that carried them for so long is now gone and they need money. They could have done it without him a long time ago even before his passing, but never attempted to.
They couldn’t even “get it together” on their A&E reality show, “The Jacksons A Family Dynasty” because there was no “Unity.” In the words of their famous brother, Michael Jackson, “Where is the love, L-O-V-E?”
A final word from Phoenix: “What is my prediction on the Jacksons now….. with their comeback? Let me look into my crystal ball… what I see is…. Go get your money back now for your tickets because this tour will never happen!”

DAAAAMN, sounds like my boy is talking from under the dinner table!! Kind of makes you wonder that, possibly the reason they can’t get it together is b/c Joe just beat too much of the gumption out of them.

I never heard of Phoenix. I do agree though that there is no real unity amongst them. That was more than plain from the reality show, and I believe that is the REAL reason why Michael went on to become a solo artist. He didn’t have time for the nonsense and the DIVAness I saw on the reality show.
Michael Jackson was a STRIVER.
I don’t know if it’s so much the STRIVER but, with Joe strutting around like a peacock, I think Mike was tired of sharing glory and all but putting out all the “guts”. Grace12_34, call me st,st,st,,stupid but, what reality show, are you talking about? (mind you, I don’t watch reality shows but, I see commercials).
I wouldn’t be surprise if the Jackson goes ahead with the tour, since Jermaine himself is very much in need of money. For quite some time Marlon has had a successful real estate company. Tito has been performing with his band at various gigs around the country. The Jacksons are just not in demand these days. Since they are no longer an hot selling ticket, but still has loyal fans. By any chance the tour discontinues, it will be due to low or no tickets sales at all. I even wonder about the music and type of songs they would do on stage etc. When Michael left his brothers and went solo, he had a very highly successful career. The remaining Jacksons in the group did not do well among each other, and definitely not good without Michael to begin with. Back in the day Jermaine had a successful solo career. When Michael died in June 2009, The Jackson: A Family Dynasty debuted on A&E Dec 13, 2009, which featured Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, and Marlon. This project did not do so well. You notice brother Randy does not appear with his brothers. The Jackson’s with Michael were a great act of the past. Jermaine needs to hang it up and stop trying to always cap off the family name.

I had not planned on going anyway, without Michael what is the point??? Michael was the main attraction in the Jackson 5 for me. I will just listen to the old J5 CD’s.
I just saw the show in NYC. It was very good. Especially since they haven’t performed together for so long. They did a great tribute to him and sang “Gone Too Soon.” They weren’t just MJ’s backup dancers. People don’t realize that Jackie and Jermaine were supposed to be the lead singers before Michael. They all could sing and dance and most could play instruments. It’s a shame they were overshadowed by the most talented performer of all time. But they are not slouches.
The only thing that has held them back was the perceived baggage and alleged family quarrels. As far as their legacy, why can’t they perform the Jacksons hits and get the respect they deserve for being pioneers in the music and television industry. They were ALL on the cartoon and the variety show when black people just didn’t do that kind of thing at the time.
Why do we beat our people down and only honor them when they’re gone.

I too will always love the Jackson Family and would love to see them perform on stage. There are still a lot of “Caucasian people who hates The Jacksons because they killed the Osmond Brothers music career, lol. The rest of the Caucasian people who hates the Jacksons Family do so because they’re Black and have the audacity to still be successful. As for the few Black people who trashes The Jacksons? Well “some oppressed people have always thought that identifying with, and agreeing with those who oppress them was/is an accomplishment”.
