According to TMZ, the hip-hop producer owes back taxes for 2006 and 2007 which total $732,553.57. In documents filed by the Georgia Department of Revenue, the government has ordered BMI to hold all money Garrett earns turn it over to them. BMI is best known for collecting royalties for music artists.
The move comes as a setback for Garrett, who has made a name for himself by producing 15 number one songs over the course of his career for artists such as Nicki Minaj, Usher and Beyonce.
