*Apparently boy band Mindless Behavior lived up, er, down to their name Sunday night at the BET Awards as far as Beyonce was concerned.
Bey was so upset at what they said about Lauryn Hill, that she changed her acceptance speech (on the fly) to honor the former Fugee.
So let’s start with The Diss — Comedian Mike Epps and the group Mindless Behavior were co-presenting the award for Best R&B Artist when Mike jokingly tried to sing.
One of the members of the group quipped, “You sing BAD … like Lauryn Hill’s tax accountant bad.”
The diss drew gasps from the crowd … and pissed off Beyonce, who ultimately WON the award that was being presented.

But TMZ has learned … B was so upset, she scrapped the speech she had prepared and defended Lauryn’s honor instead … saying, “I want to thank all the talented R&B women that came before me like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige.”
When B walked off stage, there was a woman waiting for her — possibly a BET handler — and B began to vent about the insult, saying the Lauryn Hill diss was “disrespectful” and “not cool.”
The woman complimented Beyonce for adding Lauryn Hill’s name to her acceptance speech … to which Beyonce replied, “I just felt [the diss] was wrong.”
Beyonce’s rep was called for a comment , but so far, nada.
I googled more photos of this group and see they appear to be a group of effeminate ‘pseudos’…so what can we expect when they takes swipes at Lauren Hill.
I heard that remark one of them made and it was not funny in the least, do they even know who Lauryn hill is??? probably not!!! if not ofr her many problems Lauryn would still be a major force in the game she is thought of highly among her peers, this little rag tag group with their silly azz songs will be all but forgotten in a year or two.

I don’t totally blame the kids. These jokes are written for them. They have a manager and a publicist who reviewed and approved it. These “new” record people who don’t know how to do $#!% but bling and hype put their artist in these compromising positions. I frankly don’t even like the name of the group. It helps the burn out happen much faster.

Leave the mindless alone. I am NO FAN by any means necessary, but just about everybody is right. Somebody else wrote that joke I blame BET they did the same shit to that girl last year who was a contest winner that said Chris Brown won and later changed it to Rihanna. BET does this shit and then it makes the person you see do it look like they came up with it. These are kids and they probably don’t even know who Lauryn is and they are not mature enough to make the decision to say no I’m not saying that. Usher did that at the 03 awards when he was presenting with Chilli, but he was grown enought to make his own decision. mindless is not.

As a big fan of Mindless Behavior, some of you guys are mean! They don’t have any control over what the producers give them. They are kids and the people who are mad at MB should be mad at BET for giving them those lines. In the video, Ray Ray even looked like he didn’t want to say it and in real life they would never say anything like that!! They don’t talk about anyone! But of course since BET wanted to be funny, they had to make the kids who are 15 make that joke. I agree with Beyonce but she shouldnt be mad at them, she should be mad at BET…JUST SAYIN
BET, Mike Epps, and the the manager of this group are the main culprits. Honestly though, I don’t think Mike Epps knows any better. As for the manager of the group, he’s pretty dumb if he think this is going to score any points for this previously unknown group.
How anyone could even try to connect Beyonce with any of this mess?! She showed her class by sticking to protocol in hugging them, knowing that their clueless ass probably had no idea what they just did. Why get upset with them when you can put the adults behind it to shame by giving Lauryn her props?

I just wanted to add one last comment. I was watching 106 & Park to catch up on the awards recap and MB called in for winning that one award. Just wanted to say that was mighty grown up of the one member who made the Lauryn Hill comment to apologize and he didn’t shout out so and so put me up to it even though I still say BET is behind it, but that was real humbleness. I guess they’re not as mindless as I thought.

1. It appeared to be a joke NOT necessarily a diss. And an adult is definitely behind all of this. Mindless Behavior used as an escape goat. These are young boys. I’m pretty sure they are not even focused on Lauryn Hill or know much about her to begin with.
2. Why do some White people that don’t like BET, Soul Train, other Black shows & most of all Black people come on a Black website such as this to cry ghetto? 3. It’s good see that Bey had stepped in to give credit to others.
4. Lauryn is a very talented artist. It’s no secret that she has issues like anyone else, and is also bipolar etc.

I missed that comment, but it was totally unnecessary and that was one joke that wasn’t needed. In a few years that won’t even be known.
