*Multitalented singer and actress, Brandy Norwood got her start in the world of fame at the tender age of 15 as a singer and later as an actress on popular show “Moesha.”
The pressures of life and work eventually boiled over, pushing the young diva over the edge with an eating disorder and breakdown.
Now 33 years old, she’s a proud mother of a 9-year-old girl and has taken on a new role on Lifetime series “Drop Dead Diva” as Elisa Shayne. She’s also starring in Tyler Perry’s movie, “The Marriage Counselor.”
But her career has come to a place where she feels it’s all for a purpose.

With her next album, “Two Eleven” due out in August, she explained Whitney Houston inspired the title and her whole career.
“I can just say that her life will never be forgotten and her life has inspired so many people, so many artists, and it’s awakened so many things inside of so many people.
You know, it’s unfortunate some of the things she had to experience, but at the end of the day she blessed so many people. She completely blessed me and changed my life from the moment I saw her open her mouth to sing. I was like ‘Oh my God! If I can just do a third of that, I would be doing something special.’
She continued, “You know, my whole life is dedicated to her. It really is – everything she has ever taught me and to live in that purpose. Yeah, I get shaken up every time I talk about it.”

Her WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE IS DEDICATED TO WHITNEY??? Hmmm honey, you need to dedicate your whole entire life to God–and keep Whitney’s memory close if you choose to –focus on YOU and YOUR talents — and dedicate your life to your daughter and being the best Mom you can be. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR NEW CAREER MOVE!
I agree Patt===>These Norwoods are milking this Whitney death more than her own family. February 10 and prior, the world considered Whitney Houston a washed-up, disgraced, drug addict struggling for a comeback (“Sparkle”). February 11, she is celebrated as an icon and now everyone is dedicating their lives and careers to her. This is the most I have seen of Brandy. In fact, the thought of you dedicating your life to WH scares me.
LOLOLOL well said — i had forgotten all about her –until that time she ran up to Brandy during the Clive interview and gave the chile something –then she became the hot topic to find out what Whitney gave her… i shudder to think..lololol

Does she still have a career? Just saying……..
Brandy needs a life PERIOD….be your own person. She is such a lame.
Wow!!!!!! Perhaps theses people are GRIEVING have any of you pretentious high and mighty, judgemental half wits thought of that? Milking her death…….. so rude and insensitive. You should be ashamed of yourselves, you dont have to follow her articles and you definitely dont need to post you ridiculous opinions which at the end of the day are only a mirror to the discontent you have in your own lives. If YOU thought Whitney Houston was all those things before february 11th then state it as your opinion………. Whitney Houston did more for music and mankind than youre mind could ever imagine…….Therefore the washed up must be in reference to your comment!!
While Whitney was obviously an inspiration for Brandy, I agree that this seems a little overkill. You paid homage to Whitney in a great rendition of “I’m Your Baby Tonight”b/w”I Wanna Dance With Somebody”…… Let that stand as your appreciation for the impact Whitney may have made on her. Dedicate your life to making the world a better space to live or to some aspiring, up and comer. Whitney’s contributions to the entertainment world speaks for itself…..with no help needed from Brandy or anyone.
