DirecTV loses shows like Spongebob Squarepants in deal gone wrong with Viacom that cost the provider VH1, MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.

It must have been a total shock to you when you no longer had access to your favorite shows last night.
MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon were all lost Tuesday in a bad deal between DirecTV and Viacom.
Luckily though, you’ll still get BET (another Viacom channel). Both sides are blaming the other for the channels being removed. (more…)
BET is out as well, as far as I’m concerned good riddance to all of them. I don’t watch them and the last thing I need is a price raise for channels that are basically useless to me.
