Police shoot wrong man, Andrew Lee Scott, 26, in pursuit of an attempted murder suspect in Blueberry Hills Apartments in Lake County, Florida.
*The police around the country seem to need an overhaul on their training. It’s understandable that the job puts them in a catch 22 most of the time.
They are trying to protect and serve, yet they have no room for mistakes. Just like doctors, every procedure must be performed with precision and accuracy.
Because when someone is killed by police, they have to be absolutely sure they had no other option and that they have the right person. (more…)

I first heard about this from someone in Florida. The way it was described, I assumed that the victim was black, so I know there had to be a catch now that he turned out to be white. The way I was told was that the police claimed that there was a gun, but still wasn’t able to prove that there was one. That’s typically what happens to black people. But seeing that the victim was white, I’m almost sure that he had a gun (I say almost because we all know that police plant guns on people after shooting them). But they don’t usually waste a white person unless there is a compelling reason. If he actually did have a gun, that’s kind of dumb, though. If they were just knocking, then ignore them if you don’t know who they are. If they were banging, then call the police. But to go out there pointing a gun?! Who the fuck you think you are? Superman? What if they also have guns? I would be surprised if a black person did that.
