*What’s it like to be a single father? Marvin Sapp knows now.
The Gospel singer just landed a reality show that documents his life as the only parent for his three teenage children.
Two years ago, his wife MaLinda died after losing a battle against colon cancer. The pair ran Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Since her passing, the singer and now full time dad says life is an adventure.
“There are days when I get up and I cry, thinking of her. There are days thinking of her and I smile. There are days when I’m angry. Days that I’m not… we miss her.”

The show, produced by Open River Pictures, actually began filming earlier this year, but hasn’t been assigned to a network yet.
Tammy Williams, CEO of the company, says this is a new phase in the family’s journey, serving as a beacon of hope, family and love.
“Marvin entrusted my company to document the second chapter of his and his kids,” said Williams. “I think it is timely that the country sees a man, especially an African-American man, who is serious about family values and raising his children.”
Despite the emotional struggles, Marvin has been open about his dealings, sharing with his listeners, fans and churchgoers his daily strife.
He recently told EURweb recently that singing and sharing his story has been therapy, a form of healing.

Another reality show? I am so weening myself off of television. I’m not sure if MTV knew what it was doing when the “Real World” premiered way back when. Was it the first, I don’t even know, and really don’t even care at this point. ~GD
Write a book instead. The last thing the world needs from a a born again pastor in a “Reality Show” Stay in your lane, Stay on course. Single parenting is nothing new men have been doing for years and Lord knows women are the front runners. Turn the television off. Open your Bible and prepare a sermon tell every body about the love of God and His Grace. That’s Reality. The wrold needs more Jesus not a reality show…. Don’t get confused.Stay in your lane.
what happend to the words money is the root of all evil? oh yeah, nobody does not go to church anymore nowadays.mr.sapp, if you wife were still alive, she would not approve this reality show for your buisness/private life shown out in public for the world to see for the man of the cloth because some things SHOULD be PRIVATE!
You guys are really tripping out for no apparent reason. I rather see a positive show about a black man and his family. Regardless if his calling, this guy is human just like anybody else, hurt like anybody and is imperfect. Why try to put him in a box where he should be forbidden to do such. I bet u are all glued to all the drama queens on reality shows. Go have several seats.
