*Houston, TX – Tanay Jackson, Tito Jackson’s daughter and the niece of megastar Michael Jackson, launches a new campaign to show the world just what she’s got going for her…and that’s a lot.
Like her uncle, Jackson combines exciting, evocative songwriting with expressive and energetic stage routines. Reviews say “she looks incredible onstage…a great performer,” and “Tanay obviously takes after her Aunt Janet.” She records in the Pop music genre.
Her most recent music video “Honey” is available for viewing on YouTube; Jackson is the songwriter and director. She is the only daughter of former The Jackson Five/The Jacksons guitarist Tito Jackson and the younger half-sister of Taryll, Tito and TJ Jackson, members of the singing group 3T.
Like the first generation of the Jackson family, Tanay Jackson discovered her natural abilities at a young age. Raised by her mother in Maryland, the gifted songwriter and performer was first recognized by her fourth grade music teacher who insisted on vocal training for the child prodigy. By the age of 12, Jackson began writing poetry and music for fun. She has received writing royalties from JASCAR in Japan for one of her songs; Sony Urban noticed her excellent writing and tried to negotiate a publishing deal with the talented performer.

She has also taught Hip Hop and Modern dance at the Dancers Workshop in Brooklyn, NY. Jackson also managed to land professional work as a dancer. With her electrifying elegance and style, Mr. John Blassingame, founder of Word-up Magazine, chose to enter Jackson in the Hype Hair beauty pageant. Jackson is an advocate for the weight loss community and an enthusiastic supporter of the Fresh Air Fund.
Tanay Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management in 2006 and is now CEO and President of Roth Entertainment and Lunar Music. She is currently touring the country.
“The Spotlight” and “Honey” are both available online at iTunes.

“Bachelor of Arts in Business Management in 2006″….ummm, im thinking thats bachelor of science.
It seems like the Jackson offspring does not have alot of success on their own. Don’t know why they think because their name is ‘Jackson’ that means they have ‘it’. Nah. Some get lucky but most don’t. The Jackson offspring fall into the ‘don’t’ category.
I’m sitting here with my mouth open because this song sucks as does her….(ahem) singing. Sadly, the singing gene skipped her all together. She may be a good song writer (except for this song) and with that being said, maybe she should stick to writing and producing. No more singing…..PERIOD!
They need Grandpa Joe on their case if they want to win like they pappa’s did – didn’t even know Tito had a daughter…..
Alrighty then … FIRST, this girl needs to learn that your backup should NEVER be hotter than you yourself are. SECOND, she needs to get somewhere and sit her pudgy ass DOWN. Who told her she could sing? And LAST, I am glad she got a college degree, because she’s going to need it to earn a living.
I co-sign with NYCsoul about the Jackson name … Seriously. According to Joe Jackson himself (and he sure as hell ought to know), only three of his children had the real RAW talent required for the music business: Michael Jermaine and Janet. The ONLY reason why Jermaine’s career wasn’t as successful as Michael’s or Janet’s is because he is too much of a damn diva.
Joe said that for real? Come to think of it, he’s right. Michael, Janet & Jermaine had that ‘it’ factor but Jermaine, IMO, let his jealousy of his younger siblings and baby mama drama get in the way. He would not have sold as much recordings as Michael & Janet but he would’ve made money and garnered much respect from his industry peers. Sad he let his talents go to waste.
Just like I thought that ain’t shit. Would all the no talented people please go sit down somewhere and be real still. There is enough no talented people out there performing already please lets not add to the problem.
LMBAO!
they all had the Jackson name, Michael & Janet could dance, Jermaine has never been much (IMO).
MJ could sing, if Janet didn’t stand in fron of her band, you’d never know she was there, her voice got better over time but, it ain’t nothing like y’all trying to hype. . . .
Grace12_34?, you been getting kinda raw on the forum lately but, “pudgy”?? LMAO.
After I read your post, I watched this horrible video again. WTF kind of choreography is this?? It’s probably the MOST raggedy-assed dancing I have seen in ANY video.
I have to co-sign with NYCsoul about Janet. When Janet first started performing, I believed she was just out there to cash in on her last name and that she was just Michael’s sister. Janet is first and foremost and entertainer. She was groomed to be an actress (and that is something I believe she can do better than anything else. I would love to see her in more movies. She has never disappointed me in that area.)
As for her singing, I would never try to hype it. I went to one of her concerts and was very impressed with the way she performed. My date had gotten seats that were actually ON the stage, so I was sitting about five or six feet away from her. Even though I was glaring at her because of the way my date was drooling all over the place, I had to admit that she gave a REAL performance — a TIGHT performance — not a raggedy piece of “Wanna Be Starting Something” like her niece Tanay!
LOL. Not really hyping but I do think that Janet is a good entertainer, if nothing else. I don’t think she has much of a voice either but I think that Jermaine is definitely better in the voice department than Janet. If Jermaine had continued to focus on his talent, with the exception of dancing, he could’ve given Michael a run for his money musically, IMO.
I co-sign about Jermaine. He could have indeed gtiven Michael a run for his money musically. That is why Joe had the two of them as the lead singers of The Jackson 5. All Jermaine ever really cared about was looking good and whether he is being looked at.
This video is awful even for a low budget production. Its as if someone said Pookie get the video recorder, we gon’ make a video. Tell Denise and ‘nem to come over and dance. We gon’ have folding chairs and bed sheets. Its gonna be tight!
