*Here’s a head scratcher for Team Obama.
According to a new CBS News/New York Times poll, despite several weeks of tough attacks by Democrats on Republican Mitt Romney’s tenure at the private equity firm Bain Capital and his refusal to release more of his tax returns, the race to see who will occupy the White House in 2012 remains a statistical dead heat.
Wow.
Romney is at 47 percent and Obama has 46 percent among registered voters, a difference that’s within the poll’s three-point margin of error.

60 percent of voters say Romney’s experience at Bain will not influence their decision. 73 percent, say Romney’s personal wealth will not be a factor.
However, about one in five voters say these issues will make them less likely to support Romney.
Romney gets the edge over Obama on handling the economy, 49 percent to 41 percent, but Obama is seen as doing more to help the middle class, by a margin of 52 percent to 38 percent.
Slightly more than half of those polled say Romney’s policies favor the rich.
A majority of voters say Obama’s polices have contributed to some degree to the nation’s economic downturn. Far more, however, place the blame on his predecessor, former President George W. Bush.

Looks like there was not much return on the $100 million spent on negative ads by Obama’s camp.
Yeah I would have to agree with that.
But wait until the Romney bombs began to drop. It’s gonna be armageddon out here and I can assure you that many pro-Obama supporters will start to complain about “negative ads’ and “distortions of truth.”
The Cyborg is already dropping ‘duds’ like particular ad:
“It’s not like Romney is above low blows. He ran an ad completely misrepresenting an Obama clip from 2008, when Obama was quoting a McCain strategist who’d said “if we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”
The ad made it sound as though Obama were talking in the present about his own re-election. When he was called on it, Romney defended the ad by saying what was sauce for the gander was sauce for the goose.” ”

The Obama campaign has equally distorted Mitt’s record as well as past statements.
