At the NAACP’s convention in Houston, Republican candidate for president Mitt Romney told the audience that he’s a better choice than President Barack Obama to help build their neighborhoods and lessen unemployment among African Americans.
However, for his trouble, Romney was greeted with boos when he pledged to repeal “Obamacare.” That’s the name Republicans have given the Affordable Health Care act that was passed by a Democratic congress and was recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Romney said he wouldn’t be running for president if he didn’t think he could do a better job than Obama, the nation’s first black president.
But Romney is unlikely to win the black vote. Some 95 percent of black voters backed Obama in 2008.
Romney was heckled at another point in the speech when he criticized Obama.
Now we know why white politician don’t bother attending these types of events.

That’s like Obama attending a Klan or NRA rally and expecting a warm, loving reception. I don’t know WHO and WHY they thought that was a good idea…smh.

I guess Ross Perot is not the only slow presidential candidate to address the NAACP.
I mean, it’s one thing to diss the Affordable Care Act with that mandate that’s only going to increase the financial burden on poor people while making the insurance companies super rich. But don’t tell me you going to go up inside the NAACP and use the word “Obamacare.”
Come dawg, if you want to run for president, at least act presidential when you are not around the tea party movement.

Of the nearly 30 minutes speech, Romney got boos from silly audience members that lasted all of 10 seconds. That’s 10 seconds out of a 30 minute speech.
Will they report on nething else about the speech? No.
I applaud Romney for showing up and standing his ground. Good for him.

I saw the speech and I agree with Musb. The booing was a small part of the speech which was well-received in other areas…even though I knew what headline the abysmal, sensationalist driven msm would run with. (That said, since the speech he has made racist comments basically bragging to his conservative friends, “If they want free stuff, I’m not their guy..” so it’s clear his appearance was cynical in that it was geared more for the “outsiders” who would be watching than the actual physical audience.)
The bigger question, the big elephant in the room is WHERE IS PRESIDENT OBAMA? WHY IS HE SENDING HIS WHITE VICE-PRESIDENT TO SPEAK TO THIS BLACK AUDIENCE? WHY CAN HE NOT SHOW THE SAME REGARD THE CONSERVATIVE MORMOM DID AND AT LEAST SHOW HIS FACE? WHY WON’T HE SHOW UP TO OUTLINE HIS PLAN TO BRING DOWN THE HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE GROUP IN THE COUNTRY? AND WHY WON’T HIS BLACK CONSTITUENTS DEMAND THIS OF HIM???
