Andre Braugher speaks onstage at the “Last Resort” panel during the Disney/ABC Television Group portion of the 2012 Summer TCA Tour on July 27, 2012 in Beverly Hills

The folks that brought you FX’s “The Shield” are back with ABC’s “Last Resort,” a “Lost” meets “Crimson Tide” thriller that sees Andre Braugher as Marcus Chaplin, the captain of a submarine ordered to fire nuclear missiles at Pakastan.  Something, however, doesn’t sound right with the order, and Chaplin refuses to follow it – which results in his submarine being hit by US military. Chaplin and his surviving crew, who take over a nearby island, are subsequently declared enemies of the state. Below, Braugher talks about the dilemma facing his character.

There’s some creepy ‘ish going on at The Drake.  …ABC’s new drama “666 Park Avenue” doubles as the address of the fictional hotel, where Vanessa Williams’ Olivia Duran and her husband Gavin (Terry O’Quinn) lord over the staff and patrons with secretly-sinister intentions that will be revealed throughout the season.  In the meantime, Williams, below, tells us how she sees Olivia Duran.

Host Jimmy Kimmel speaks onstage at the “64th Primetime Emmy Awards” panel during the Disney/ABC Television Group portion of the 2012 Summer TCA Tour on July 27, 2012 in Beverly Hills

Jimmy Kimmel will host the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 23, but don’t expect a reunion with his new BFF Oprah Winfrey for any Emmy sketches resembling the bits they created for Kimmel’s post-Oscar special in February.

Robin Roberts, who announced she is planning a medical leave due to her battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, arrives at ‘Good Morning America’ on July 26, 2012. The anchor, currently undergoing chemotherapy, wears a matching armband to cover up a pic line in her arm.

As previously reported, Robin Roberts spoke to TCA members last week about the roller coaster ride she endured at “Good Morning America” during one particular week in April – when “GMA” beat longtime champs “Today” in the ratings for the first time in ages, she interviewed President Barack Obama (who would make news about his approval of gay marriage during her Q&A), and she was diagnosed with MDA (myelodysplastic syndrome), a serious blood and bone marrow disease that requires a bone marrow transplant to treat. The 51-year-old anchor, who famously battled and beat breast cancer five years ago, has found a perfect bone marrow match in her sister and has begun chemotherapy in preparation for the transplant in either late Aug. or early Sept. Below, Roberts talks about how she’s feeling, and the craziness of that particular week in April.
