*It’s always kind of weird when estranged celebrity friends, boyfriends, or whomever speak to the press on sort of personal (hard to be in the lime light) matters of other celebrities.
Wyclef Jean spoke to Montreality.com about ex-bandmate (and alleged lover) Lauryn Hill’s tax troubles.
The singer is facing three years in jail for failing to pay taxes.
“I heard about the little drama she got in-in the news, wishing her better on that. You know? Actually, I was on the phone with Pras earlier. It’s all good. Nothing but love for the Fugees,” he said.

Lauryn refused to pay taxes on her $1.8 million between 2005 and 2007, because she believed it was the move to make to withdraw from society and protect her family.
While she’s trying to figure things out financially, Wyclef is working on a book, “Purpose,” which will be out in September.
“My first book is called Purpose. Because that’s the first thing I did, right? I had to find my purpose. That’s what a lot of us go through.”
it is apparent that the title of articles by Britanny M. Walker are misleading. This is the second time I’ve clicked this on-line “journalist’s” stories only to find it to be a non-story.
Purpose? He allegedly had “purpose” to cheat on his wife with Lauryn Hill and drive her batty…the poor girl still hasn’t gotten her marbles back. Then he had “purpose” to allegedly embezzle millions in donations made to help earthquake victims in Haiti. He’s had lots of “purpose” for years. But the kind he has had, and has shown, is morally suspect.
Wyclef Jean & Lauryn Hill hasn’t spoken to one another in years. So why is he making any type of comment to Brittany M. Walker, or the media about Lauryn’s personal related issue? Since, his damn sleazy character has been is question for quite sometime. Wyclef admitted back in 2010 that he cheated on his wife with Lauryn Hill. Since then there has been accusations / suspect of Wyclef embezzled over 5 million dollars that involved charity money. Former band member Prez had also accused Wyclef of embezzlement as well. Just 1 or 2 years ago Wyclef’s wife had discovered nude pictures of his (female) manager on his cell phone. The wife had emailed these nude pictures out to others in the music business, and demanded that Wyclef fire the manager etc. In March 2011, Wyclef claimed that he was shot in the right hand in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The police reported otherwise that he was not wounded by a bullet but instead was cut by a piece of glass. Apparently the Police in Haiti did not believe Wyclef & his story for whatever reason, and met with the doctor who treated him & confirmed that Wyclef was only cut by glass and not a bullet he originally LIED and reported about. Unbelievable Wyclef is so fucking stupid enough to keep nude pics on his cell phone to incriminate his dumb ugly ass. Not much to this foreign piece of trash to begin with.
