He even has a tattoo of her, sampled her music on his Thank Me Later CD and now he’s on her newly released posthumous track, “Enough Said.”
But, let’s face it. If you know Aaliyah’s history, you know she was under the musical tutelage of producers Missy Elliott and Timbaland.
In fact, Timbaland was on the Breakfast Club not too long ago and said Drake hasn’t reached out to him about the project. And going forward, if any future projects involving Aaliyah are to be made, he and Missy Elliott should be consulted.
“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy,” said Timbaland. “The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.”
Well Timbaland, just in case you didn’t know, according to HipHopDx.com, Drizzy is slated to be the executive producer of Aaliyah’s forthcoming, but as yet unnamed posthumous CD
By the way, “Enough Said,” was produced by Drake’s longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib. Check it out below
