*It didn’t take long for the Internet – and President Barack Obama himself – to respond to Clint Eastwood’s “empty chair” stunt at the Republican National Convention.

Shortly after the actor/director’s rambling 10-minute speech, where he addressed an empty chair pretending that President Obama was actually sitting in it, the term “Eastwooding” was born, and an “Invisible Obama” account surfaced on Twitter, firing off such zingers as: “Did I just get invisible credit for taking out Bin Laden?”
The account @InvisibleObama immediately gained nearly 37,000 followers, with a bio that reads: “Stage left of Clint Eastwood.” No word on the internet prankster’s identity.
“Everyone’s asking, ‘who’s behind @invisibleobama?’ That seems like a silly question, doesn’t it?,” Invisible Obama tweeted, adding the hashtag #thinkabouthatone.
Among @InvisibleObama’s most retweeted tweets:
- *”Someone should tell Marco Rubio he’s standing on my foot right now”
- *”When Mitt Romney says ‘Mr. Chairman,’ do you think he’s referring to me?”
- *”Let me paraphrase you, Mitt: Global warming?! Ha! How could you believe in something that you can’t even see? #7kindsofirony”
Taking a cue from the web sensation “Tebowing,” the meme “Eastwooding” also popped up last night, where users uploaded photos of empty chairs on Twitter in a collective and instant display of mockery. [See photos above.]
Even President Obama couldn’t resist getting in on the action.
Early this morning, a tweet from the president’s official account responded with the above photo showing the Commander in Chief sitting in a presidential chair and the line: “This seat’s taken.”

Dirty harry was hilarious. Nice comic relief.
Now you’re being silly. Even the people in the audience barely laughed at the weird conversation w/a chair during a national party’s convention.
It’s ok to like Republicans and question everything about dems but this is a bit silly…even for you. There was very little “funny” about watching an 80+ yr old man fumble around during a speech.
I didn’t say everyone found it funny. I did. Slow ya roll.
That doesn’t change the point. If you, unlike most others, found it funny, then it says more about you than it being humorous in the first place.
He talked to a chair.
This is about your adversarial relationship w/all things democrat so it’s no surprise that you found an unfunny presentation (an empty chair) directed at Obama…funny.
I’m inclined to believe that you didn’t think it was funny at all. Not considering your previous hit on the democrats attacks on Romney or the GOP.

So are you saying no one found it funny? Go back and watch the video.
It was to me a genius schtick judging from the lock step chorus from the liberal media. It seems to have served it’s purpose by entertaining the base and pissing off liberals.

It’s about time!
I see you are feeling the Progressive movement implosion too.
But the problem is that I haven’t found anyone (outside of you) who thought it was entertaining and appropriate. I watched the ensuing Fox News coverage and they seem to disagree w/your assessment. I watched Fox News again this am and they only talked about the “oddity” of the speech you thought was otherwise entertaining.
Fox New headline running right now “Clint Brings Down House at Republican Convention”
HILARIOUS!!!

Maybe it’s a glitch in the matrix today.
