*En Vogue as we knew them … is no more once again.
The 90′s R&B group divided into two at the end of July this year with members Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson looking for two new members. Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron have already begun performing with a fill-in member.
But the drama hasn’t ended yet. Jones took to Twitter ranting about how Ellis and Herron stabbed her in the back and removed her name from the quartet’s bank account and business, LLC. She got beside herself, and her age (50), and wrote, “real arrogant b—s drunk with power.”
Jones is also documenting the group’s fallout on a reality show that’s currently being filmed.
Neither Ellis nor Herron has responded to Jones’ accusations … so far.

Can you say “unsung”…
LOL!!!!!! that should be a good show I agree
So sad that it has come down to this. SMH!
The problem with the group has always been Dawn. She wanted to do the solo thing, then Lucy Pearl etc etc. There have been numerous attempts to resolve this and to tour as the original group but she has continued to request excessive demands. She has gotten into the ear of Maxine after Maxine has continued to be a part of the group…sad to see such a wonderful talent splinter after finding so much success together…
I agree: Unsung
WOW!!! ….”Sisterly luuuuuv” without a “man” in site!!! If the accusations are true?, that’s some REAL fkd up shut to pull, & this surely will NOT be the last installment, in the ghetto mess.
These women need to just give this EnVogue bs up….it’s just doesn’t work anymore and no one wants to see “fill-ins.”
Livin’ in a world of ghetto life – every one seems so uptight!
If En Vogue isn’t going to be the actual group….then why bother. But the EnVogue mess is typical of many female groups and the cause of many of their breakups. It’s just sad when ego and fame destroy relationships. It happened to Klymaxx, SWV, Destiny’s Child (whether they want to admit that or not). It’s a real shame because these women are too old to be petty.
Is this racial?
The saddest part of all of this is I went to an En Vogue concert about two years ago and the show was amazing – I mean they ripped it! They danced like 20 year olds and their voices were beyond crisp! It seemed like no time had passed since their last hit and I was really looking forward to new music from the group. I even got a chance to meet the girls after the show and that was a VERY special moment for me!
The thing that bothers me the most about En Vogue is they are without question one of the greatest girl groups EVER! In 1990 when I heard ‘Hold On’ and watched the video for the first time, I simply couldn’t believe my eyes or ears. At the time, they were the hottest thing since The Supremes! After that, they went on to release one amazing hit after another so in my opinion, it’s the fans who lose out!
The problem with groups, and particularly girl groups, is ego always gets in the way. If group members would treat their careers like REAL jobs, they would all be a lot better off. Every one of us works with people we don’t like but we still go to work everyday simply because the bills have to be paid. So to the sistahs of En Vogue, just go to work, put your time in, get your dough and leave the drama in the breakroom!
Damn, damn damn!!!
Great point @beckwithch!!!
As talented this group was, its a damn shame they can’t come into full agreement to make money. It would be unfair to pointvthe finger at one or two people, all are at fault letting their egos inflate. This is very petty and so unnecessary to have this showcase as a reality show.
