At the end of Tuesday’s second episode, Johnson is shown walking into Philbin’s office the day after he was arrested on Saturday night for domestic battery against Evelyn Lozada, who has since filed for divorce.
he episode, which premiered Tuesday night, shows the receiver dejected and pleading his case to coach Philbin – to no avail.
“I do my best not to fly off the handle and act irrational,” Philbin told the athlete during the meeting that lasted less than five minutes. “It’s just, I don’t know that this is working for the benefit of you, me, the Miami Dolphins or anybody else. I think you’re a good person. Trust me, I acknowledge people make mistakes.”
During an awkward pause, Johnson reminded Philbin that he had “never been in trouble before.” He went on to claim that he had been planning on keeping quiet all season long, following his expletive-laced first press conference that drew a lecture from the coach. But Philbin’s mind was made up.
“It’s more about how you fit in, and how we fit in together, and where this thing is heading. Just don’t see it being where I thought it would be or what I hoped it would be,” said Philbin.
As previously reported, Johnson released his first statement since the arrest on his website hours before the episode aired, apologizing and vowing to “continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL.”

These reality shows have a way of sinking careers it seems. Think…Lamar Odom, T.O. and now CJ. The love of media attention and less emphasis on the ‘game’ is stripping them down. It’s clear the Dolphins wanted to rid themselves of CJ and that headbutt to EVILyn’s dome got the ball rolling.
he look stoopid sitting in there. lol. bet all kinds of dumb ish was going through his head. “how ima pay these bills”, “this fool fittin to fire me”….”wonder if the redskins can use my services” “is it too late for the redskins to use my services”…why couldnt i catch any passes”..”am i washed up”…”why she hit her nose on my head”…”i really fucd up this time”…”are they taping this? i cant remember?” are the cameras rolling”…”this is embarrassing as a mother fucer”…”wonder if my momma watching”..”arrrrggg”…”is this a dream”
”…”this is embarrassing as a mother fucer”
huey, this one nails it because this taping/broadcasting is the height of embarrassment. A whole lot is going through his mind right now. After that firing he probably laid in his bed…in the dark and just wept. He still has other options like coaching (high school/college) if he doesn’t play pro ball again…which I think he will tho.
This is just straight up bullshyt. The guy has never been in any trouble since he’s been in the league. I mean, they had to go way back to college to find any dirt on him. The coach was just blowing smoke. Everybody in this business cheat on their spouse.
Keep your head up Chad. I’m pretty sure you are going to find another team soon. Eff them crackas.
@ Huey…whaddup mayn!? I see you’z STILL a damn fool!!!!! Lmbao!!
