*Janet Jackson’s attorney has released a statement on behalf of the singer, her brother Randy and sister Rebbie strongly denying that they are trying to benefit financially from their late brother Michael’s estate, reports the Los Angeles Times.

They accused the executors of trying to divide the family and distract from questions about the legitimacy of Michael Jackson’s will.
“They stand to gain nothing financially by a finding that the will is invalid,” Blair G. Brown, a Washington attorney for Janet Jackson, wrote in the statement released Friday. “What will be gained … is that the executors will be replaced and the estate and the guardianship will be managed in a manner that is in the best interest of the children, which is what Michael wanted.”
Allegations that the siblings were holding their 82-year-old mother against her will in Arizona drew worldwide attention last week and resulted in a new custody arrangement in which the family matriarch shares guardianship of Michael Jackson’s three children with Tito’s son, Tito Joe “T.J.” Jackson.
The 2002 will accepted by a probate judge after Jackson’s death three years ago gave music industry veterans John Branca and John McClain control of an estate with an estimated worth of $1 billion. The court-approved compensation plan gives the executors a 10% cut of some earnings.
The siblings have said the will was faked and cited evidence that Michael Jackson was out of town on the day the will indicates he signed the document in Los Angeles.
A spokesman for the estate said Friday evening that the legal window for challenging the will has closed, but that two prior wills also named Branca executor and gave no power to Jackson’s siblings.
In his statement, Brown accused the executors of barring the three siblings from visiting their mother at the Calabasas home where she lives with her grandchildren.
“The effect … not only is to damage fundamental family relationships, it is also to isolate Katherine Jackson from anyone questioning the validity of the will,” Brown wrote.
The executors’ spokesman said Katherine Jackson and T.J. have the final say on who is allowed at the residence.

For too long, I think the media has poisoned the minds of the public into thinking that all the Jacksons are a bunch of money-grubbing, greedy dysfunctional family and we have bought into that. If memory serves me right, I do not recall MJ EVER saying anything negative about his siblings to the public. But I did read Jermaine’s former baby mama’s book and everyone took what she said and ran with it. IMO, I think MJ was not ‘all in his mind’ all the time. MJ never struck me as some innocent man that was being victimized by his jealous family and his abusive daddy. I think he manipulated the public to some extent to preserve his childlike image. Unfortunately, some his fans cannot separate the public and the private MJ. I think MJ did what he wanted, when he wanted and he wanted as people around him who never told him no. That’s why he’s dead. The siblings didn’t do that Michael; it was the syncopants and MJ himself who did himself in. I really don’t believe that he signed that will in his right mind. I really don’t.
So if Janet knows something that the rest of us don’t, let her go for it. I find it interesting that she, along with Rebbie and Randy, have decided to go forward with fighting to get rid of the executors. There is more to this than the public knows and any estate where a popularity celebrity dies, is bound to be in the black eventually. Elvis Presley had money problems too before he died but not too long after, his estate turned around.
Also, I would think that Jackson brothers still receive royalties from their recordings during their days as the Jackson 5 and Jacksons respectively. With MJ’s death, in a way, they also benefit from that, too. So, we really don’t know the extent of the Jackson Family fiances unless somebody knows their accountant.

This is a beautiful photo. I think it was at an American Music Awards ceremony. Michael had had a distracted air about himself and was on stage with Janet giving off the impression, “Let’s move it. I’ve got things to do and people to see.” Then Janet said something about him that was sooooo beautiful and worshipful. That’s when he kissed her.
