*Kerry Washington absolutely killed in the first season of “Scandal” and she brags that the new season is going to be even better.
“The first episode of the second season is bananas. It’s very exciting … lots of answers from the cliffhangers, but more questions as well,” Kerry told Access Hollywood.
“When I got this script…as I’m reading it, I’m screaming, screaming. It’s great,” she said.

The hugely successful series stars Washington as the crisis public relations management specialist, Olivia Pope, who suppresses her feelings while cleaning up everyone else’s messes.
She says in the new season things get even more complicated and very exciting.
Washington has gracefully transitioned from big screen entertainment to a bit more fast paced drama series.
“I’m just really thrilled about what’s going on in television right now. The quality of what’s on in television. It’s fantastic. So, I’m really proud to be a part of that world and just excited. There’s so much quality writing acting, directing, producing happening on TV right now,” she said.
I watched the first season of “Scandal,” and I thought it was VERY GOOD! Kerry Washington plays her character very well. Can’t wait for season 2! It’s a refreshing change in wake of all these “reality” tv shows.
I agree. This has great acting and a great writing. My only problem was the season had to end just as it was getting really good. I’m glad ABC choose to go with a show that isn’t geared toward mind-numbing entertainment. Not everyone agrees that entertainment should involve the Kardashians or displaying the lowest aspects of humanity. I’m also glad that Kerry Washington is getting her time to shine…she’s been around for awhile and it’s well deserved. I’m just hoping that Shonda doesn’t allow the show to jump the shark like Grey’s Anatomy.
