Loretta Devine, John Beasley in TV Land’s “The Soul Man”
*Loretta Devine, the hardest working woman in show business, has just booked a part on the TV Land series “The Soul Man.”

According to TVGuide.com, the “Grey’s Anatomy” star will play a two-episode arc as Della, the mother of Cedric the Entertainer’s Reverend Boyce.
Della is called to St. Louis when her estranged husband Barton (John Beasley) decides he wants to move to Florida permanently after visiting his brother there. Stamps (Wesley Jonathan) will enlist Della’s help in keeping his father in check.
Devine’s first episode airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on TV Land.
Congrats Loretta. Even though she is barely old enough to be Cedric’s real life mother.
