*Us Weekly cites two sources who have exclusively confirmed that rapper/singer Nicki Minaj has signed a deal to join the judging panel of “American Idol.”

The 29-year-old entertainer has been in talks to judge the Fox TV competition and a deal has reportedly been in the works for weeks.
Fox Broadcasting has yet to confirm the addition of Minaj or the return of veteran “Idol” judge Randy Jackson. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez announced their exits from the show last month.
Minaj, who has performed on the FOX program before, will join fellow new judge Mariah Carey when the show returns in January.
Why would Nicki do that?
One more reason why this show is doomed. I would prefer Usher. She hasn’t even been out there to become a critic.
Hopes she wears her natural hair or better wigs….
