*Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson must have done something bad because it seems like all hell is breaking loose in every area of his life. From his career to the wife to the finances, the guy is suffering something major. But it doesn’t end there.
He recently made the whole country of St. Martin mad at him because he’s a bad investment.
The Caribbean island invested some money into the NFL player and his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada.
According to reports, the tiny country gave the couple $90,000 toward their wedding on the island.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t lasted a full two months. The wildly handsome couple exchanged vows on July 4 at Le Chateau des Palmiers, a St. Martin resort. The ceremony was filmed for the premiere of VH1’s “Ev & Ocho,” slated to premiere Sept. 3. But it looks like the show is going to the garbage heap.
As far as getting that investment back, St. Martin has yet to decide if it will seek a return.

Well it looks like a loss St. Marteen will have to take. I don’t see how they thought it would be a good investment. The entire fiasco was a sham.
” The entire fiasco was a sham.”
Diva, it boggles the mind they did not see this coming. Too bad they didn’t recognize the signs after Kim and Kris. From all appearances, Chad and EVILyn were simply on a smash and grab spree that crashed sooner than they imagined.

LMAO! Melody, where do you come up with this stuff?
NYCsoul, you know it’s true!!!!
OMG…NOT THE SMASH AND GRAB THAT CAME TO AN ABRUPT END…LMAO
I’m kind of surprised at all the miss guided anger that’s directed at Chad and Evelyn for simply trying to get their hustle on. As far as the domestic dispute and arrest, I blame Chad for head butting his wife, but I don’t see why that should lead to him losing his job in a league where folks are routinely arrested for multiple offense committed in the public arena. His was in the privacy of his home and he isn’t even convicted. But we got people like Roethlisberger going out raping and not even getting charged.
In a society which provides limited opportunities for blacks, I think that Chad and Evelyn should be applauded for their entrepreneurial ventures rather than be chastised. They haven’t done anything to be ashamed of. For example, getting the St. Martin government to finance their marriage was a tactful move. Not only would it benefit them financially, but the island’s tourism industry would benefit from the exposure. It’s unfortunate that one mistake would derail the whole venture, but such is life.

This statement applies 100% to Deion.
And how many endorsement deals did Deion lose as a result of that?
If you want to look at the glass half full…
@Melody, I love it: smash and grab but its so true.
Buffoonery! Oh what a tangled web we weave once we practice to decieve! They used their platform for monetary gain and sold their souls to the devil to make a buck while simultaneously disrespecting the sanctity of marriage.
