*Tracee Ellis Ross is tired of pretending she likes the show, “Reed Between the Lines.”
Ok, that’s not what she said, but she is leaving the terribly scripted so-called BET comedy. Her departure comes shortly after joining the cast of NBC’s fall pilot, “Bad Girls,” a show about women in federal prison. The show wasn’t picked up, though.
So what’s the plan?
In a statement Ross said that, “Reed Between the Lines” was a show, “I believe in and care about,” and that there was a “chance,” that she might return at some point.
“Reed Between the Lines” will (unfortunately) continue without her.
Ross played Carla, the wife of Alex Reed (Malcolm Jamal Warner). The busy power couple attempts to manage raising three children while maintaining a loving relationship.
The second season will launch next July, but the couple will be separated as Carla moves away to Los Angeles to pursue her dream job.
OK WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN AND WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN WITH TRACEE!? I was REALLY expecting to show to come back because it was wonderfully scripted show on a positive black family with a Cosby show feel to it. Why would Tracee quit this show for some womens prison shit why by the way didn’t picked up. Plus why is Reed between the lines returning in July when it should be this coming October. It started last October. I would keep the character Carla Reed just get somebody similar to play her. How about Victoria Rowell?
@princefan, you know BET has to mess it a good thing!!! whenever they have a fairly decent show for a first season they tamper with it and ruin it for the second seaon. Just watch the show will fool around and get cancelled because audiences will lose interest with switching it around so much. PS. I bet you anything BET is making room for some lame reality show in October!

I was really expecting THIS show to come back.
It was A wonderfully scripted show.
Why would Tracee quit this show WHICH by the way.
I was so upset I just typing away without even overlooking my errors.
