*Condoleezza Rice may be earning good reviews for her speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention Wednesday night, but some folks on Twitter instead chose to focus on her unfortunate makeup malfunction.

Some viewers couldn’t help but notice that the former secretary of state had lipstick on her two front teeth while delivering her speech. Several even tweeted about it, with many expressing sympathy with Rice.
“I don’t care what their beliefs are I will always feel completely awful for any woman who has lipstick on their teeth in public. #Condi #RNC,” wrote one viewer.
Added another: “Poor Condoleezza Rice…. No one told her she has lipstick on her teeth #makeupfail #RNC”
More tweets below:
“Yo Condi. CONDI. What in THEE HAIL are you talkin bout, girl? You know you got lipstick on yo teeth, right? Aight. Cool. #RNC2012 #GOP2012.”–@AngryBlackLady
“Seriously though, I heard nothing Condi said because I was so damn distracted from her lipstick stained teeth! @shitgirlssay”–@angeda
“Condoleeza Rice is speaking passionately & eloquently but I am completely distracted by the lipstick on her teeth”–@rachelnoerd
“Dear Republicans, when you piss the gays off, things like Condoleeza Rice’s lipstick-covered teeth happen.”–@mattrjk
As previously reported, Rice has earned praise for her speech, despite the lipstick gaffe. The Washington Post’s E.J. Dionne Jr. wrote that she “outshined” vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan by giving a speech that was “more serious and, yes, more presidential than any other speech on Wednesday night.” Even MSNBC’s Chris Matthews praised Rice, calling her speech “spectacular” and “thrilling” and describing Rice herself as “presidential,” as quoted by Politico.
As for the lipstick situation, Vogue fashionista Andre Leon Talley came to Condi’s defense today: “If Professor, former Sec. of State, Condoleeza [sic] Rice had lipstick on her teeth, so what. She spoke with true eloquence and raised the bar!”

This is why the Democrats are imploding. Still stuck on what things look like instead on what things are.
You sound silly.
1. You have no idea what political party these folks belong to.
2. Why is it that folks can’t be up on the issues and also notice small things like this.
3. People were having fun
4. Are the Repupulicans imploding when they are throwing peanuts at black people saying “this is how we feed the animals”?
Because if you research the tweets as I did you can see their political leanings by reading their other posts. Second;y, Condi has always had an issue with her lipstick sticking to her teeth and only now when she nails a speech it becomes one publicly. Finally, as I watch the coverage by the liberal press they comment more on identity than the true substance of the speech. Mmight sound silly to you but this is my analysis.
Like the conservative media not calling out the lies that are spewed out of this whole convention you research is of course biased and laughable.
“Condi has always had an issue with her lipstick sticking to her teeth” – True, that has been observed before.
Her knowledge is about Russia (???) not about Lipstick-Stained Teeth (!!!)
First the black community is upset with Gabby’s ponytail and now lipstick on teeth. Ok.
You can tell the race of the people’s comments?
Certain black folks focus is soo off. Was it that hard to consentrate on her speech.
guess so, if I say Donkin donuts, you’ll know I’m a 7-11 indian . .too funny
I understand that you attempt to come off as if you have so much disdain for blacks. You know what this website is geared to and all about. Including the topics to where you spend a great deal of time here. If you really feel the way you project, then why do you bother to interface here in a such environment? Are black topics your absolute favorite? Normally when a person does not like something they tend to steer clear, and this is something you don’t do and probably could not ever accomplish. Your ongoing racial overtures is understandable, but definitely not the constant ignorance, and stupidity. Moreover, you do not represent, or speak for the entire black community and no specific race appeared totally upset with Gabby’s ponytail, or Cond’s stained teeth.
Hey Krazy Gayle how do you know it’s the black community? You posted a death threat against Gabrielle Douglas right here on EUR, you are on the same page along with those other simpletons.
The best bet is to ignore her. I didn’t even know she threatened Gabby Douglas. That’s how much I read her racist drivel.
Yes, she did make a threat on Gabby’s life and that she would be dead by next year, but I notice her comments are never held for moderation. I do not peruse La Raza or any Mexican sites because their opinions are of no interest to me. We already know how they feel and could care less.
Got that right!
I imagine that either silly democrats or at worst silly black women were focusing on her teeth.
Dr. Condoleeza Rice is nothing short of amazing.
You need to focus on getting out of a Black woman’s basement and ease up on the bashing.
I’m kind of surprised at the confusion surrounding what type of people would be making these negative comments about Condi, with regards to something like this lipstick situation.
No, don’t get it twisted. This is not another Gabby hair situation. That’s totally different, and the folks commenting are totally different in each case.
To me she’s very short of amazing…supporting Bush’s lies and all. Did shr try to criticize President Obama’s foreign record as prez? I wonder if she did?
Who cares if her teeth were stained – thank God she spoke eloquently! Even though I am not on board with some of her views, the sister still “represented” to the masses that blacks are intelligent and can hold a conversation with the likes of others! If we as black people focused more on the plight of our race and not things that are so minuscule, we could be a force to be reckon with!!!
Nuff said!
People really shouldn’t take those types of comments so seriously IMO, and then try to mold them into something important when folks are merely goofing off Condi. Most Blacks respect her but don’t like her party…big deal.
I would rather have Condi speak than K. Michelle from Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta… now that would be blasphemy as hell!!!
Folks need to go easy on Condi and Colin. They were never willing members of the Bush cabal and neither were they accepted by that group. Bush was the only one who had their back. They both would try to advice Bush against the war crimes he was allowing himself to be a party to. That’s why they were both despised by the likes of Rumsfield and Gonzales. What we can fault them both with is for not bailing early enough. Colin had enough after one term, but Dr. Rice decided to complete the job she had started. But even though she was a team player, she couldn’t help gaffing in public about how she felt about Gitmo. But there is the irony. If it was up to Condi, Gitmo would be closed, while our dear president seems to have no issue leaving it open.
