*Alicia Keys says she scrapped a planned music video for their song “Put It In a Love Song” with Beyonce because the project “didn’t quite come together” properly.

The track, from Keys’ 2009 studio album “The Element of Freedom,” was due to be released as a single and the pair famously filmed a video for the tune in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But Keys says that footage and the whole video was shelved because it just wasn’t right.

“Sometimes with creative things (it) all comes together and it’s (perfection) and sometimes things almost come together and it’s better to just leave it,” she tells Essence magazine. “So we love that song. We had a ball shooting the video.

“It just so happens that the whole thing, for some reason or another, didn’t quite come together so we just decided to leave it. And that’s what happened.”
