Any way you look at it, it’s a win because the one-time high school football star has overcome incredible odds. Banks was recently exonerated in a California rape case in which he was falsely accused
The 26-year-old, who plays linebacker, is signing with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League.
The team confirmed the news in a statement Wednesday.

Banks served more than five years in prison following a conviction a decade ago on rape and kidnapping charges. The woman later recanted her claim and offered to help Banks clear his name.
Banks and the Locomotives will announce the signing at a news conference Thursday.
Locomotives coach Jim Fassel, a former NFL coach, says the team is pleased to give Banks “an opportunity in football that was denied him years ago.”
So MANY people have been praying for this young man but I really want to know what is going to become of the girl and her mother. Somebody said the money they got from the lawsuit was spent on drugs and cars and is long gone…

Money cannot buy 5 years of his life. Both they girl and her mother should be made to do 10 years each minimum and let them see how it feels. Thank god she finally came to her senses so that he did not do more time, but there is still no excuse for what she did.
Money may not “erase the pain”?, but it shoooooll make the “healing feel better”!! And since that lying SKANK robbed this Black man of the “NFL” & all he prolly would’ve earned?, I feel she should be made to not only “do time”?, but also “pay BACK”!!!, the system that awarded her lying azz the money. Don’t know if things have changed, but initially?, they weren’t even “asking for/trying to get the money back”!!!! WTF!!?? Too often females are NOT “properly held responsible” for WTF they do! And this was just straight out….evil malicious….robbery, false imprisonment AND character assassination!!, & all mostly ‘on her lying azz word. The bare “minimum” he should be awarded “BY THE SYSTEM THAT ROBBEED HIM”, is half the salary he would’ve earned, if he had not been…”inside”. Again….money ain’t everthing?, but it can suuuuuurely make “a lot of things”……better! Chuuuuuch/All Day!!!!
He should sue her and the mother for making a few years of his life in misery. She should be charged and order right to jail herself. Anyhows, I’m happy that he is given another chance. It’s not the NFL but its a start somewhere….and hopefully when they see the potential he has on this team, he can move up to the big leagues.
