*A new cease and desist letter from Kanye West appears to confirm reports last week of a leaked sex tape starring West with a Kim Kardashian look-alike, just as another tape has reportedly surfaced.
AllHipHop.com obtained the cease and desist order issued by West’s lawyer, Lisa Buckley of Pryor Cashman, addressing the tape and a screen shot of the star from the tape that Radar.com ran with their original post.
“Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer,” Buckley wrote, warning sites not to republish the image.
“Your posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the stolen Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity. We hereby demand that you: (1) immediately cease and desist from posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and disseminating the illegally obtained Screen Shot of Mr. West.”
As previously reported, the video is said to have been filmed before West began dating Kardashian, and features an 18-year-old married woman. While Kanye’s lawyers are addressing the first tape, TMZ reports that a second video, also stolen from his computer, is being shopped around as well.
Vivid Video’s Steve Hirsch — responsible for releasing Kim K’s sex tape with Ray J — says that a Kanye West sex tape would be worth millions.
“It depends on the quality of the tape, the length, the lighting, the sex,” Hirsch told CBS Local. “But something like this could go for a couple of million dollars. I don’t think there has ever been a sex tape with a star of this magnitude. Tommy Lee was big, but this is a different world and Kanye is a special guy.”
Still, Hirsch is not 100 percent convinced that the tape is real. “We have not yet been approached,” he said. “That’s what makes me skeptical. They would usually come to us by now or very soon. We are the company known for putting out the best celebrity sex tapes.”
