*NeNe Leakes may be getting too big for reality television.
The woman’s career has skyrocketed from being a co-star of a multi-personality drama filled show, to scoring multiple roles in legitimate, talent-needed shows. Beyond that, she’s working on hosting her own talk show.
“I can’t continue to be a housewife,” she said in a recent interview with the New York Post. “At some point, I have to back out.”

NeNe is on top of the world, starring in two scripted comedies, “The New Normal” and “Glee.”
She added that being associated with the bad-rapped reality series genre could be holding her back.
“Just the thought of me being a ‘Housewife,’ [TV execs] would probably say, ‘Hmmm. We may not want to use her.’ Jus the whole persona of being a housewife: the cattiness and the bitchiness and the fighting, people see you as that is who you are,” she reasoned.
But she failed to mention that she was usually the root of all that … mess in the show.
She’s not saying good-bye to “RHOA” yet. She plans to keep it going until the right time comes.

OMG Bravo should drop her on her ass for that neck-talk. She’s the queen of why RHOA is bitchiness personified in a reality television series. She might well have prompted the downstream cattiness of the Basketball Wives and the Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta antics. You didn’t see the wholesale SELF-denigration of our women to this extent before Lenethia came on the scene.
Andy Cohen needs to give her the old heave-ho. Trying to turn legit and then talk sh!t about who got you there. That’s the opposite of class. We don’t need you anymore, we have more than enough sustainable storylines without your ungrateful ass, you’re yesterday’s news anyway. Until your boy gets arrested again…
@ HHCassius…you ain’t lying! The NERVE of her to now have her nose up in the air when she’s the source of acting a fool on reality TV. If TV execs look at the show and say
‘Hmmm. We may not want to use her.’ Jus the whole persona of being a housewife’ they need to look at it like that must REALLY be her! Ms. Leakes is forgetting where she comes from. If she wanted to say it was time to go, she probably should have just said…I’m getting to busy for the show. Not talking crazy about the show that gave you your start. No one was checking for some backwoods stripper from Athens, Ga before she got on RHOA!
I would not say she STARTED the drama adn was the inception of drama on reality shows because we all know Tiffany “new York” Pollard started was and is the queen of drama on reality shows it was her mission. However, Nene is more of a reactionary person. She WILL react and she doesn’t ever really say things behind peoples backs. Maybe we are watching a different Nene, having said that in my opinion she is mostly defending her self. However, she tends to take over when she is attacked which leaves the impression that she starts things. Now, Kandi, Kim start things. Kandi has been caught on camera several times gossiping and talking behind peoples backs. Example; Phaedra pregnancy, Neene MIA Trip, Marlo $ ( Phaedra was not married when she got pregnant), ( I can tell yall Nene is a Rich B****H, after dinning with her in MIA), ( I couldnt see Kim goign to Africa or holding a African Baby) ( Marlo, we know how we got ouir $ but how did you get your $) etc etc i could go on with Kandi. For what ever reason Kandi gets passes for her drama. Nene has always been into acting before RHOA. I mean she has said that on the show and Bravo has confirmed it. I dont understand why people choose to not believe her. By Sheree and Kim’s own admission they were offered that job because of Nene and her affiliations with Hollywood. Its all in print if you want to research it. Anyway, I seek the truth thought i’d throw that out there. You go Nene, a star is born.
