Obama Gives ‘Letterman’ Best Ratings Since Sade in 2010

   

*President Barack Obama’s visit to the “Late Show With David Letterman” Tuesday night gave the CBS broadcast its best overnight rating in more than two and a half years. [Scroll down to watch the entire interview.]

The episode averaged a 4.0/10 in Nielsen’s 56 overnight market, up 60% from its year-to-date Tuesday average, reports Deadline.com. The last time the show saw better ratings was February 9, 2010, when Jennifer Garner, singer Sade and model Brooklyn Decker made appearances and drew a 4.3/10.

Last night’s show was Obama’s seventh visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater, and his second since taking office.

The “Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson” followed and also had its best overnight rating since February 9, 2010, earning a 1.9/7, a 58% uptick from its Tuesday average this year.
